I'm praying with you. If Piledriver is a flop too then AMD had better focus on what they still have, their apu's and their gpu's.

Didn't AMD already "surrender" and state that they will be targeting the mobile market more?

If you have a MSI card, MSI afterburner has built-in recording. I assume EVGA, Gigabyte and others have something similar.

You know that bulldozer isn't as great as it should be right? So the comparison is in order, and anyways, the phenom ii is still pretty current-gen because it is still being sold and is very usable on any of today's games or programs.

Am I arguing about bulldozers being not as great as they were expected to be? No. And no, the fact that they are still selling doesn't mean that it is current generation. Generations come with technology advancements.

Really? My friend went form a phenom ii x4 at 3.0ghz to a 6100 and got about 5fps better in bf3 on high with a gtx 560ti.

Because comparing earlier generation CPUs with current-gen CPUs is totally correct, right?

On-topic: I don't really see a reason, but I will upgrade if it isn't a complete fail like Vista turned out.

Nothing that is free is good. Heaven't you learned that yet? ;-)

Okay then, don't use the 63.90% of servers that run on Linux. Good bye.

What is the card's exact model (manufacturer, etc...)? My MSI HAWK 560 Ti's idle temperature is around 30 degrees, playing VF3 all maxed out gives me around 70 degrees.

I would never buy another MSI card again, nor would I recommend one. I've had bad experiences.

If you don't want to SLI, then a 570 is a better choice. 580 is just too expensive to justify buying it.

I believed he was planning on SLI/Crossfire'ing, so I obviously reccomended getting two 560s. With the amount of sales and price cuts on electronics right now, and the massive steps made each year in computer graphics, I (personally) would spend the money to SLI and get more graphics power now, and update in 3-4 years, instead of having to get a new card in a couple years. But that's me.

Excuse me, but what kind of problems? I can say only good things about MSI now. I have the exact card and I love every single thing about it.

It goes against my entire belief to help someone switch from AMD to Intel, but I'll try.

Same price, a tad bit better performance. Very good for SLI'ing.

    1) This thing will run anything on ultra, even single.
    2) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127578&Tpk=560 ti hawk is a better choice.

    Someone's had a bad day.

It may be covered with Apple propaganda Nut at least apple products work extremely well. I don't like apple, but the usability of iOS, the AppStore and iTunes is unrivalled by the opposition. I'm all for Android and co, but until they evolve to become superior to Apple's services, I can't really have a go at them.

    Your opinions are obviously biased.

I don't agree with you with that, ImThat1Guy. The Kindle Fire isn't actually that great at all, and it's covered in Amazon propaganda. The ASUS transformer isn't that great either. The only tablet that's not completely crap is the iPad 2, and even that should be avoided because it's from Apple and is designed to become obsolete after a year, but the AppStore does help.
Avoid tablets. They're not worth it until you can do proper work on them.

And iPad is covered in Apple propoganda. Your argument is invalid. Get out.

Never ever get into the mess called Visual Basic.

Start with Java. It is pretty universal, easy to use, has a lot of documentation, helpful IDEs and a lot of APIs.

Oh, okay. Sorry guys - I'll have to pass this on as maps aren't really my department, especially redstone.. I'll try to talk to Leggos and get it fixed ASAP.
    So anyway,
I set up a short survey to see your feedback on the Portalcraft texturepack. However, you have either not seen or barely seen the updated version, so an image is below. If you wish to give me feedback on the updated version below, please click here. Thanks!

(note: some textures are default or from carlotta4th's precisely portal because we're not using them, and some are messed up for specific reasons, ex: fences)
