that is really weird cause on some youtube videos ive seen people are on 2.2_2

my minecraft is stuck on 1.2_2 when i see other people with 2.2_2 and it wont update

so when i try to connect to a server and some of my saves it crashes

ok so when i try to connect to a multiplayer server i get that and i dont know how to fix it
until today actually it just would crash but now i get this

oh **** i clicked on wrong link

whenever i play singleplayer or connect to multiplayer it just crashes i dont know why and what i should do
