Notch has confirmed rotten flesh as the new drop for zombies, however, what would one do with that? ( Certainly not eat it...) so here's my idea. take flesh and a water bucket like so: flesh

to make..... a bucket of water with some flesh in it. However, if you boil this mix in a furnace,
you get.... Rancid water. AKA poison. make poison weapons and arrows, of spill it to make liquid traps that don't destroy drops, more efficiently than normal. (also, if we're boiling water, we may as well be able to make soup.)
I want to change the texture of lava, and I changed it in terrain.png. It doesn't show up the way I changed it. Help?
if you wanted to MAKE animation youd have to create a png file like this for flowing lava.
custom_lava_flowing then, for each frame of animation, you create the desired texture, with the first frame at the bottom of the "stack" of frames. like this.

and so on.

HELP PLEASE! I installed the mods needed, the spc patch, and then aether. it started up normally, but when it reached the menu, it went to a screen that said "saving chunks" and crashed before i could copy the error report. whats wrong? i didnt install anything else.
well i dont know how to do a mod but someone that can should make on ive been thinking of for a while.
the basic idea is a smooth-stone tool that once decayed all the way will turn into a normal cobble tool thus it last's twice as long and would be in between a cobble and iron tool. if someone reads this and chooses to make this then please in form me.
this doesnt sound like a very good idea at first. in real life stone tools would shatter into pieces if they were to break. however, i like to be useful when i post, so i had a way to improve upon your idea. when the tool breaks, the head smashes, allowing you to keep a handle like
(breaks pick) now steve has a pick handle. allowing him to not need to make the whole tool over again. as well as an added posibility to keep part of the head intact when the tool is rendered useless, giving you a "broken tool" which you can repair with another piece of that tool. i.e pick head cracks. repair with a stone.
