So, I had an idea for minecraft, being craftable spell gauntlets, or whatever you choose to call them, that would grant steve some powerful magic abilities. they would be crafted similarly to boots, except with an ender pearl, eye, or other better, more specialized items that don't yet exist, on top, and the base material (also giving way to more specialized items for more advanced gaunlets, who says we have to stop at diamond?) on the bottom. With each advancing tier of glove, more, and better spells would be unlocked when worn, and of course, previous level spells could still be selected from the gloves gui, for whatever reason you may still wish to use them. Now, before you all rant about how: Minecraft is not WoW, under Jeb's development, minecraft is going through a huge time of change, and with the apparent goal of slaying an antimatter dragon for reasons that are in no way explained, I think a bit (or a ton, rather,) of magic would fit right in. (also, who WOULDN'T want to cast those annoying, conspiring chicken bastards into a dark oblivion?)
Quick questions- 1, how do I make it so my "Fruity Cactus" only generates in deserts, and 2, how do I make cobblestone craftable from the "Rock" item in my mod?
If anyone needs mod textures, let me know, I will make them for you. Just give me a brief description of the texture you want and I'll do my best to make it. If its a mob, send me a template so I don't eff up big time.
Well does anyone know of any games that have very bad graphics but are still a good game? I dont mean retro styled games, I mean Games that take up next to none processing power.

You had to spam porkchops to survive a little while longer and when you've eaten 10 of them from quickbar, you were dead. They didn't stack back then. How is it now?
You eat one porkchop and stand in lava. After twenty seconds you eat second porkchop. After an hour or so, diamond armor breaks and you die.
It's sad that we have only two difficulty levels, Peaceful and (super-)Easy.

Here's an idea. Actually do this. I did, and i died within moments of leaving the lava. While in it, I was fine, but upon exiting the pool of molten death, My health began dropping very quickly. But only after I left the lava. Which, to be fair, is what most players try to do right off the bat upon falling in lava anyways.
by the way did any one notice that the texturepack is a bit more depressing i mean like back in beta and Alpha it was all green and happy but now the grass seem more depressing allso there many things that made Minecaft less enjoyable

2. Wild Grass before i could see a nice plain area with Roses and trees
3. Map genertion
4. Swamp Biome
5. the new combat and sprint

I've only been able to find the black and white texture for the xp orbs, and nothing to do with the colors it applies.
That is because the black and white texture is used to autocolor certain things. For example, smoke. The smoke textues are reused in mob deaths, firey black smoke, portal smoke, and redstone particles. all use the same texture. If you truly want to change it, then just color over the black and white texture. this will assign that color to it, rather than the grayscale autocolor.
Does that mean that there will be ender pistons...?

farlander sounds cool. having been to the farlands myself (a distorted realm at the edge of the map) it sounds as if they lived there and caused the distortion and moved on, continuing to move blocks around and distort the innermost segments of the world.
the official name of these "dark figures" is Enderman as given by Notch in a Reddit post. obviously a parody on Slenderman. did enyone else see that weird tree? new plan in 1.8?
