Location: Buffalo, NY (actually about an hour South of there in a small town you've never heard of unless you're from here, lol)
Previous bans & reason: None, I've spent all of about ten minutes on a server and then was disconnected. Honestly don't think it was anything I did as all I did was look around the spawn center they had built and rode the water slide, lol.
A little about you: I enjoy long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners... oh, probably not the response you need here... :-)
I'm an avid gamer and play lots of stuff in my spare time (World of Warcraft, Civ series, Heroes of Might and Magic, Terraria, The Sims, Plants vs Zombies, etc). My real life committments like my family, boyfriend, and job come first but as I do have a lot of downtime in the summer (I'm a middle school special education teacher) I will likely be around a lot. I make friends easily and get along with most groups of people. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy kicking back and having a good time. After all, Minecraft is a game (as seriously as some people may take it) and if you're not having fun, what's the point? To me, having fun is being part of a community that is respectful to the other people both in terms of their projects and in terms of social interactions. Life is way too short to spend time with people whose company you're not enjoying.
Hello. I realize this type of thread has probably been done to death but as I keep looking through the forum and not finding what I'm looking for I finally decided to just start my own thread. I am a very new player (only been playing about a week) and I am very much enjoying Minecraft so far but now I'd like to find a server and other people to play with. I used to play Terraria so this type of game is fairly familiar to me so I'm not a totally clueless player and I enjoy playing survival because I dislike having all my materials just given to me- I like to feel like I earned what I have. Having said that, here's what I'm looking for:
*a server with mostly (if not all) adults. I'm 32 and I teach middle school students for a living- I don't want to interact with 13 year olds behaving badly outside of my job. I have found through playing WoW that kids behave reasonably well when the group is mostly adults but put a pile of 13 year olds together and the drama goes up quickly.
*a survival server. I prefer to earn my materials- adds to the satisfaction of building something really cool.
*a server with no griefing and where people work together. I don't mean give each other stuff but instead have actually formed some sort of community.
*a server with limited or no pvp. I don't really want to get into pvp at this time so the last thing I want is to be happily completing a building project and have someone start killing me over and over again. A server with a pvp arena or at least one where people don't just run up and gank you would be okay though.
*a server where people are friendly. The whole reason I want a server is to have people to hang out with and do stuff with in Minecraft. I've never had problems fitting into a guild in WoW and very much enjoyed working with others in Terraria. But it's not fun to be somewhere where everyone is so quiet it feels wrong to talk.
More about me- Well, I'm off for the summer so I plan to be around quite a bit. I do play WoW still but I mostly run arenas so I'm not on there that much. My life does not and will not revolve around any game and I will always choose real life over the game. If I make a committment to be on and do something I nearly always honor it but am not looking for a major committment in a video game either. I enjoy building big and actually really love mining. Hence why I like this game. I will fight mobs when I have to but I prefer the digging and building.
Hopefully with all of this information someone out there will see this and say, "Hey, she sounds perfect for my server!"
