I have ample time to play even while being in season for a sport and I believe my widespread rtalents across the minecraft platform can be a help to your network

What plugins are you able to use without a sweat: Have not found one yet that's given me a problem, If I encounter a problem i look up and master how to use it independently
Are you able to do permissions, or are you willing to learn(open-ended): yes I have done all dev work for my last server (I was the only admin) and have used both GM and PEX in the past
What is FileZilla?: an file transfer protocol client for managing directories
What is WinSCP?: once again, an FTP client
What is RAM?: (random access memory) Can find information without disrupting other bytes
What is a CPU?: (central processing unit) does the "heavy lifting" of the arithmetical calculations
What is a graphics card? (graphical processing unit or "video card") uses VRAM to create and render information (this can also be built into the CPU ex. all intel core procs have an onboard gpu in the absence of a dedicatated one)

Hello everyone, I might have posted this in the wrong section of the Java forums, but I am in deep need of help about something that's been going on with this laptop ever since I got it.

Basically, whenever I try to run the Optifine Installer, Forge Installer, or ANY java application, a command prompt window pops up for a split second, saying, "could not find or load main class [the directory of the application]". The window shows up for about a third of a second, and disappears. I can not run any java applications that have the Java icon. I have no java knowledge what so ever, and I came here for help on how to solve this. I'm a heavy gamer, and I can't do many things with this certain game, if I can't run any java applications.

Here's what I've tried:
- Reinstalling Java
- Made sure that the program is opened with Java

I am positive I installed java, since I can run Minecraft. Again, I have no knowledge of java what so ever, and I have no idea how to fix this. I've attached a screenshot of what the split second window looks like everytime I try to run a java application. This has been going on for about half a year now, and it would be much appreciated if I get a solution!

So I have a server that's all ready to be public but I have one small, problem:
The server is stuck at 1.6.4. I use a multicraft control panel for the server, and there's no option to change the jar.

Here's what I've tried:
- Going into the server files via FTP and changing the craftbukkit.jar to a 1.7 craftbukkit.jar
- Taking away all plugins and starting fresh with a blank bukkit server that's 1.7
- I even put the server in "offline" mode which allows cracked clients to join
- Changing the default role of viewing the server to "moderator" in the multicraft control panel

When I start the server up, at the beginning it says it's starting the server on minecraft version 1.6.4, even though I put a 1.7 jar in the server. It keeps reverting back to 1.6.4. I've been working on the problem for several weeks, and the community of the server is getting really anxious about when the server is releasing. I would like a solution ASAP, and no "submit a ticket to your host" please. I will submit a ticket if all else fails. Thanks in advance!
