Aren't the new forums eventually going to replace these ones?

    you overthink this.

What? That made absolutely no sense. I overthink what? We have new forums. They're going to replace these forums. It happens. *shrugs*

you are saying that forums who had just released to public, that havent had a stress test ever before, moderated by one person only, are going to replace 1 year old forums, with thousands of users, that are listed on minecraft.net as the offical forums and that notch reads them, are linked to from about any other minecraft fan base?

dont get me wrong, i like the new nuble site, but i think you are really expecting too much.

Wait, you're complaining that Gold needs to be more common because it isn't useful enough and you want more useless rock? How does that make sense?

    video game logic.

the more useful it is, the rarer it is.

gold is useless, so it needs to be common.

It seems to me like notch is taking his sweet time, I feel like we have been waiting totally way too long for this update. Does notch still care about minecraft?

-I'm not a character, I'm in rare form

I'm really getting sick of seeing posts like this. Such posts are the reason why we can never use mods for more than a month without a version change; and they're also why the game always has as many outstanding/unfixed bugs as it does, because Notch continually has 13 year olds like you screaming in his ear for MORE, MORE, MORE!!1!1eleven content, FIVE MINUTES AGO, dammit!

Personally, I'd be happy to wait a good 3 months between patches; because then I'd know that each patch was going to be *stable*, and everything in it was going to work without people complaining about the game crashing, due to unfixed bugs. It would also mean that we'd get to enjoy our mods for a decent amount of time each patch, before Notch updating the game again meant that the poor modders had to break yet another round of obfuscation, and battle to get their mods working again with whatever the latest changes are.

    Get some maturity.

yep, the point in this that updates are already enough rushed, like 1.5

this doesnt stop notch from doing slack updates either, though (compare 1.2.* alpha to 1.3- 1.5 beta)

traviskolber: the main thing i care about is not update speed, its the fact that the code is extremely flawed.

    changing advanced GL may help.

also try delete minecraft.jar/achievement/map.txt, did some performance improvement for some people, but may break some stats or achievements

Not going to delete what I don't know :ohmy.gif:.

as far as i heard it keeps track of all entity movement on the map. if you are not sure about it, keep a backup. it shouldnt hurt your gameplay or anything.
