There is a site. The get satisfaction site has a bug report option. Also in a tweet Notch or Jeb (I can't remember who) said they read the buglist on the wiki found here. http://www.minecraft...Version_history

whats the last time a bug report from getsatisfaction was fixed (aside from false bug fixes)? and why minecraftwiki was discovered months after it came online?

i dont think ANYTHING gets tested. even bug fixes. for example, the fix for glass, which just made the bug worse and effect everything else, and the other 5 failed bug fixes.

Jesus christ. It seems sometimes that people play the updates, not the game. It's like 'oh, cool! 1.5's been released! why hasn't 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11 and 1.12 been released too?'
    Play the game. Seriously.

would like to, if network buffer was fixed. listed as bug fix on 1.6, so i hope that issue is finally solved. you got to remember its 2 and half months there though.

I wasn't trying to be an ass about your grammar if your native language is in fact Hebrew, I was just skeptical because many English speakers use that as an excuse to not use correct grammar and spelling on forums (I've seen "hay- for all you know my english might not be my first language ktnxbye" one to many times).

Anyways, I agree entirely that bugs should be reported, and if you don't like something then its okay to say so. However, this community is honestly one of the worst I've been to in terms of complaining- there's already been dozens of threads complaining about the 1.6 update and honestly another thread about bugs spotted in an old video that may or may not have been made entirely in Minecraft at all is not needed. You can report it when the patch is actually released.

Hundreds of redundant reports have the effect of drowning out other bugs and quirks that aren't as noticeable, so constant complaining is still a bad thing. Reporting something twice really won't get it done faster.

I understand your point, but the vast majority of complaints here are nothing more than groundless immature bitching. That includes almost all of the ones on the front page of the forum right now, and the annoying swarms that come with every update.

cant say much other than agreeing. posting this thread may not be a wise idea, but IMO seeing redundant bugs being shown in a video of the only update that supposed to be focused on bug fixes kind of made me annoyed

Of course, the game is never tested at all before release- its not like there could have been a last mistake in the patch that broke it. The logical conclusion to come to is that Notch no longer gives a **** about Minecraft and spends all of his time lounging around and never notices any bugs.

and.. overreacting? saying notch doesnt exactly test the game before release (which is somewhat true) means notch no longer cares about minecraft etc etc etc?

    EDIT:missed the edit button.

Yes, but many people post bug reports on these forums that have already been reported literally hundreds of times- even after the developers are already aware of it. I've also seen many insert pointless complaints with the bugs. There's a difference between reporting bugs/stating and what you like or dislike about the game and bitching constantly about how the game sucks and the development has stagnated.

"Taking a vacation for years"...? This game is under constant development, and the team is dividing its efforts between two different games (read the wiki). Small numbers of features are being added slowly over time to build up a stable, feature complete game. You obviously have no ****ing idea how much effort is being put into it.

Your native language doesn't have capitol letters?

Edit: LOL at the poisoned food analogy. I shouldn't even have to explain why that comparison doesn't work (HINT: Minecraft doesn't hurt you in any way).

yes, theres the complainers that complain just for the heck of it, but theres also the complainers to complain in attempt to make the game better, but most just treat these the same. ive seen a thread about somebody who said minecraft SMP is having a problem with network buffering, and he was bombarded by people who said things like "this is beta!" "stop playing COD idiot" and similar things, because apparently reporting a bug equals dissing the bible or something. and why you dont understand im giving examples? i wasnt saying notch is taking vacations for years, didnt i? you seem to miss the point of complaining to improve something.

yes, hebrew doesnt have capitAl letters. i dont see what that has to do with anything?

as for the EDIT, yeah im tired, cant give good examples, but you should understand the general idea.

I'm not the smartest man, but I had a thought. If that's a Mojang video and Notch is the developer, and the developer is a person that can make changes to the code, and pigs don't normally sit still like that...

Maybe... he coded a special pig that sat still so he could make a nice video? Kind of like how that one time there was a button to spawn a Nether portal? Nah, it's definitely a brand new bug that he was too stupid to notice even though he filmed it.

The person clipping through the wall? Big deal. I have yet to play a game that doesn't have some weird circumstance in which an entity can partially clip through the wall. Would you rather Notch spend all of his time from now to November making sure it's impossible for entities to partially clip each other?

and again with the "maybe..." considering the video wasnt done by notch, but by the site whos name i cant remember that gets early releases of minecraft, yeah, its entirely possible that mojang didnt notice it. the frozen pig could be aswell a bug that effects all mobs and removes there AI, but since you got no access to that version, you have no way to know it. also reporting bugs doesnt mean the developer should take on it right away, it means that the developer should take note of it. and notch doesnt exactly test the game. remember 1.5, 1.3 beta before hotfix, 1.2.3_02 alpha and 1.0.7_04 alpha tat broke minecraft entirely? remember the SMP bugs that anyone that played more a minute can notice? yeah.

Complaining repeatedly about the same thing =/= bug reporting. I think that point you're missing is that the game hasn't been released as a finished product yet- its still in Beta. This destroys the argument "no other big commercial game would be released with this many bugs". The game is being actively developed and fixed, so the only thing you are complaining about is the amount of time it takes.

By the way, your spelling and grammar is horrendous.

many people complain about something = developer knows changing it should be a higher priority

minecraft has no defined development cycle, its ever changing, there isnt a diffrence between alpha updates and beta updates, and notch even said release updates wont be much different. you also need to remember there are 2 million buyers of minecraft, it doesnt matter what stage the game is at, if a large part of them are complaining about a certain thing, the developer will have to change it. and complaining about time it takes IS valid. you cant have a developer go to a vacation for years while all of his customers are waiting for product to be functionable. plus, that arugment can be used on everything. for example, a company releases a food product that contains posion. the customers need the food product fixed, but the company answers: "it takes time to do such things. stop being so impatient. we will do it when we like to." you see where im getting at? also whats my grammar and spelling has to do with it? not everyone's first lunguage is english.

note to all the "LOLOL NOOB BE PATIENT STOP SAYING BAD THINGS ABOUT MEINKRAFT"

you are totally missing the point here. so many of you jump at any bad thing said about minecraft or notch, its just sad. if someone complains that powered minecarts are not working for example, its not because he disses notch and wants things quickly. he wants to improve the game. believe me, the moment the game stops working for you, you will join the legions of the complainers. ive already seen it happen though updates 1.3 to 1.5 and at the failed updates like version 1.2.3_02 alpha which caused computer to gray screen. the biggest enemy of a video game developer are these who jump at any complainer trying to stop him. thats because no complaining = no data of flaws in the game = no fixing. even if it can turn out to be a simple error, you can never know but the maker. the pig at the tralier could have been just being frozen by notch, or it could be a bug in the pathing system that causes all mobs to have no AI at all. so next time you flame a complainer, think about this.

er, i... kind of hard to believe >.< hope this really comes on to 1.6, earlier updates were extremely disappointing.. some bug fixes i would have like to see on the list, but atleast if its true i dont see a bug every minute of playing

Well looking at the bug fixes in the changelist it's mostly big fix update. But maps and SMP Nether are big features, so it's a feature update too.

I don't know why it doesn't make sense, Notch just found the list of bugs on the wiki and decided to fix a lot of them.

only 4 bug fixes were being named, minecarts, boats, fire, and another one i cant remember. also seeing as lots of minecraft wiki bugs are reported on getsatisfaction, he probably knows most, if not all of them already.
