This could be abused on economy based servers. Is a diamond pick here worth 20 units but diamonds worth 8? Buy, uncraft, resell, profit. You are now universally forced to make diamond picks worth 24, anything above or below has a huge impact on the demand. That's the number one reason my server didn't use an uncrafter plugin. No support.
Sorry, but this seems very boring for something that introduces one ore and a few mobs I don't like. For a dead-overworld replica I don't find it interesting very much.
I continuously see people bring up an argument about how TNT instead of a pickaxe is a trade off of precision for speed. Sure, give yourself 64 TNT and you'll mine faster than an efficiency V diamond pickaxe can. But, let's assume you DON'T give yourself all this TNT and ACTUALLY have to get it from somewhere! Right now, the fastest way to get gunpowder is through creepers (All other options are fairly nonviable). Still, it must be night/in a cave, you have to find it (difficult in a cave but not too much at night if you run around), and you have to kill it, which is very high risk yet so low reward. Why? Because by the time you could have blown up 9 stone with ~2 creeper kills, you'd have mined a stack with the pickaxe. Something should be done to make this a more useful block to craft.
I don't know about this suggestion, double ores sounds iffy, like I'd save some TNT just to blow up some diamonds I found so I could get double ores, so I don't think this is the right solution. However, when I was scrolling around I saw a really genius idea that blast resistance should be increased. If ores were impermeable to TNT then someone could clear a large area and have ores remain in spots that TNT did not blow up. Not OP, not useless, it just fits.
I support this suggestion; people are just being tacky with realism. Thorns the enchantment is an ENCHANTMENT, not actually thorns on your armor, so the whole realism aspect here is void anyways. however, I don't support the protection from other thorn enchantments part. You shouldn't be able to negate an enchantment completely.

And remember, suggestions are for ideas that would make the game more fun, not realistic.
It isn't useless, I want a pet zombie, don't you? You know carrots were added to be food, but then they were transformed to allow riding pigs; so by your argument why can't we have this?
Solution: add goomba stomping and remove crits, damage done to the player landed on is half a heart per block fallen then half as much if wearing feather falling.

And I'm still in a state of bewilderment as to their existence. I mean, at the very least they add some amount of realism to the game, demonic bats wouldn't.
But this game doesn't need realism, you can't say demonic bats are bad because of that.
In this game, they're used as transportation. You can't put minerals into empty minecarts, you can only ride in them. Therefore, they should be effective as possible at what they do. The amount of tight spaces you'll find while riding a horse will probably be relatively small compared with the amount of other times a horse will be advantageous.
I have never found saddles useful, and thought riding pigs was stupid.
Having them as finds only is strange and frustrating. It's obviously made out of leather. If I can make a whole armor set for myself out of leather, why can't I make a damn saddle?
It just makes no sense to not be able to.
It was fine when it was basically almost an 'easter egg'... Just some little silly thing.
But now we have horses. We should be able to craft saddles.
I think the obvious recipe would be leather in every spot except the bottom center. Seems like a saddle to me.
I think this has to be what I agree with the most. Just because dinnerbone said he'd never add a recipe for saddles doesn't mean he can't change his mind. "Special" and/or "It's a reward" is a vague argument that doesn't change anything, maybe you guys should explain why it should be this or that?
