    Ooh! Somebody beat me to it, I was gonna reply with the same idea saying, "What about Slimes+?"

    Anyway, i'll just provide the link:

    Slimes +

    I believe you might get what you're looking for with that mod...
    But if you want to keep the sanctity of vanilla minecraft somewhat intact, how about craftable slimes? (Advertising my mod, :rolleyes:)

    Any plans of making this mod compatible for SMP?

    The PVP server i'm on has a stack command but again the issue arises that the stacked food can be used in the quickbar becomes to OP. Having this in SMP would really balance things out.

    Oh, didn't see the edit.
    Thanks a lot. You're amazing. I could never have come up with that code, just goes to show there's a lot i need to learn. Thanks a lot. :biggrin.gif:

    Edit: Now i can breathe a big sigh of relief. Now to tackle something else. Can't thank you enough. :smile.gif:

    I got it to fire out an egg by copying bits and pieces of the code in the dispenser. But what i've notice with the dispenser code is that it deals with entities and items, not blocks. But anyway, i'll experiment with it too and see if i can make it work the way i want it too. Thanks again for your thoughts and help.

    Oh, okay... *click, clack, click*
    Here you go:
    *** Minecraft Coder Pack Version 2.9 ***
    MCP 2.9 running in C:\MCP
    Compiling Minecraft
    sources\minecraft\net\minecraft\src\BlockSandGenerator.java:43: cannot find symb

    location: class net.minecraft.src.EntityItem
                    EntityItem entityitem = new EntityItem(world, i, j, k, Block.san
    d.blockID);
                                            ^
    1 error
    *** minecraft_server.jar was not found, skipping
    === MCP 2.9 recompile script finished ===
    Press any key to continue . . .

    I had a hard time understanding the dispenser code, i've definitely tied experimenting with it but never really got it to recompile correctly. Those that did, didn't work the way i expected it to work. So i kinda gave up on it, that''s when i found the dropBlockAsItem code but after several tries and not being able to make it work. I finally gave in and posted here. Thanks for the fast replies...

    Thanks for the reply but it didn't work.
    I changed that line of my code to this:
    dropBlockAsItem(world, i, j, k, Block.sand.blockID);

    It recompiled without any error, but when clicked, it still gave me the same block as the one being clicked. Not the sand block i was hoping for, any more ideas as to what's wrong?

    P.S.
    I tried several versions of the code, one was, i tried only using Block.sand but it gave me an error on recompile since it was looking for an integer. I tried using just the id of the block, 12 in this case, but still gave me the block being clicked.

    ah yes i had that problem 2 i never figured out how to fix ill have a look tho

    EDIT: just a quick look through the BLockDispenser:
    try this
    EntityItem entityitem = new EntityItem(world, i, j, k, Block.sand.blockID);
    world.entityJoinedWorld(entityitem);

    tell me if that works or if it doesnt :biggrin.gif:

    I already encountered that code while looking through BlockDispenser. I tried experimenting with it to no avail. But I tried your code since i wasn't able to write it that way but it gave me an error while recompiling.

    The closest code i could get to making it drop an item was the dropBlockAsItem code but after several experimental codes i still couldn't make it dropped a different block.

    There must be something we're missing here. Any ideas? I'm at my wits end.

    Is it possible to make a certain block drop a different block when clicked? If it's possible, how do you code it?

    I'm using this line of code in my click function:
    dropBlockAsItem(world, i, j, k, world.getBlockMetadata(i, j, k));

    but all it does is dropped the block itself not a different block.

    Can anyone help?

    I don't think so, sorry. But if someone is willing to port it, i wouldn't mind.

    I say this is amazing. Tried and tested it and it's beautiful.

    I bet his thinking about a lot of machines he can do now that he has the basic coding down. So, i wish you the best with your future mods. :smile.gif:

    i think that instead of placing the block it should shoot the block out like a dispenser

    This was the original idea but i had trouble coding it. So, for now, I released it the way it is. I'm still trying to understand the codes, maybe when i do, i'll be able to implement this.

    Thanks, for both the positive and negative feedback, everybody.

    And now to respond to some comments:

    But this sounds awfully useless. =\ 7 gold bricks for... infinite free dirt/cobble?

    I was thinking about the recipe for a while. Previously, what i had in mind was instead of using gold, it would be obsidian and instead of a diamond, it would be a diamond block. But i thought a diamond block would be overkill for the recipe.

    The reason i went for 7 gold is that i usually end up not using my gold for anything. They may look good as an armor but they are fairly soft. For tools i prefer to use tons of stone tools than waste my gold, but that's just me.

    Maybe I can change the 7 gold to obsidian (if i update), what do you think?

    well.. you should make Clay or ice generator.. or some other rare block generator..

    dirt, cobble and sand's like.. everywhere dude...

    Quote from Mitchel »
    Make more generators, like a TNT generator, or a obsidian generator. Sand, Dirt and Cobblestone is very easy to find, so theres really no use for the sand, dirt and cobblestone generator.

    I was thinking about making a clay generator (maybe if i update) since there's still something i want to change in the code. But doesn't ice turn into water (unless with a mod) when you break them?

    A rarer block? Like Obsidian? If i do that wouldn't it make the generators a little too overpowered?

    If I made a TNT generator with this code, you wouldn't be able to pickup the TNT once it generates. You'd be forced to activate it on the spot and possibly destroying the generator in the process. But if i do find a way that it gives you a drop block/item instead of an actual placed block, wouldn't it be a bit overpowered to be able to make it infinitely?

    i dont want to [destroy] my deserts/beaches and i still wand to build ruins with sandstone

    This was my line of thinking when i made this generator, except that i wanted to make lots of glass. In fact, it was the sand generator i coded first (despite the higher ID) before implementing the other two.

    Quote from Sceptile »
    Why a cobble generator, though? They already exist in-game. That was totally useless.

    Yup, I had that in mind when i decided to include a cobblestone generator. The one i included has an advantage though (if you're willing to sacrifice the materials to make it), which are:

    1. It's compact (I didn't really think it was a good idea to put this at number 1).

    2. There's absolutely no wait time in making the cobblestone as compared to the one you can build, which has a slight delay in creating the cobblestone (I wish I could make a video to show the generator in action).

    3. And, it gives you all the cobblestone you mined (as compared to the one you can build where you don't always get the cobblestone).

    So in the end, i decided to just include it.
    ...And that's it for responding to comments.

    Again, I really thank you all for the feedback, especially, GoldNCursed's. :biggrin.gif:
