Does that make pre-agricultural revolution days the "oldest" and "best"? We should go back to the and see!

Yes, actually. Close-knit social groups, more time for socializing and hobbies, larger stature, stronger bones, more muscle, longer expected lifespans for adults(Modal age 72, mean age much lower due to infant and young mortalities), and no sign of depression, obesity, diabetes, acne, Crohn's, IBS, or Celiac's.

I'd go back if I could without having to worry about a bulldozer coming to clear my land 5 years later.

All Final Fantasy Games. Worthless story and gameplay, Set in some anime world and cute as hell. Who likes it?

If you don't like 7, try 8. If you don't like 4 or 6, try 5. If you don't like the new ones, try 10. That's my way of thinking of it. Then again, if you don't like turn-based RPGs, fantasy settings, or Japanese fiction in general, you'll doubtless not enjoy them.

Agreed. 3 is too unlucky :tongue.gif:

Zelda 3(Link to the Past), The Elder Scrolls 3, Final Fantasy 3US(Even if that doesn't count, the real FF3 was decent), SeikenDensetsu/Legend of the Holy Sword 3, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Smash Bros. 3(Brawl)...

posted a message on Extraterrestrial life as we know it is unreachable.
    1. Life must be made of molecular compounds, since life made of metallic compounds wouldn't form(abiogenesis), and life made of covalent or ionic bonds wouldn't even...work.

    2. Life must be able to replicate itself with occasional errors. This requires free-flowing molecules, the most sensible solution is in liquid.

    3. All molecular liquid in the universe takes place on planets or asteroids circling within a certain radius of their star.

    4. All planets or asteroids have gravitation.

    5. Carbon is the lightest, most flexible atom able to form complex bonds, as it is one of the few atoms that naturally forms 4 bonds.

    6. More powerful creatures are bound to do better. We would expect creatures which evolved to be able to move proficiently through the ancestral ocean/lake. They may end up with some very un-human like adaptations, but I'd be willing to bet that at least a few of them would be fish-like.

Although we cannot assume human logic in figuring what an independently evolved creature would look like, I'd be willing to bet that at least 50% of them would be within the realm of human understanding. We do know an awful lot about the universe, after all.

    And remember, Lovecraft is fiction.

    posted a message on Pet-Peeves
My pet peeve is when I'm just trying to eat and people won't let me eat in peace. I don't really want to have to keep going "mmhmm", "okay", "what happened then?" while I'm eating, dammit. It ruins my meal, which puts me in a bad mood. I refuse to eat at work unless I'm off the clock, because I once spent 2 hours attempting to eat a sub. Ruined my whole day.
