First things first: I would investigate the room, but most importantly: try to figure out where the heck the light was coming from if there were no lights in the room(?). Assuming my search came up blank, I'd then rip open the teddy bear to see if there was anything inside. Then I'd take the glasses and carefully grind one of the lenses so that it could focus the laser. I'd take the laser pointer and modified lens, attempting without any professional tools to focus the laser beam such that the irradiadiance would reach dangerous levels. However, as I assume it's just a regular laser pointer, I'm sure that would fail. However, I'd take apart the strange device and use the circuit components to apply additional power to the laser. Unfortunately, the laser would probably burn out. Next I'd try attaching the diamond to the end of the drill(maybe using the filament from the lightbulb?) and start drilling away. Doubtful I'd make much process, but I'd keep working away at it. The strings of the electric guitar would make good attachments when the filament from the lightbulb broke, so I could probably keep drilling for the full 10 days. If the guitar came with a powerful enough amp, I'd try feedbacking with the guitar at different frequencies(possibly after tearing off the fretboard with a wrench) to stress the concrete, while wearing makeshift earplugs(made from my blankets) I'd also try pouring a little of the unknown substance out of the syringe to see what effect it had on the concrete. I'd also try lighting it on fire to see if I could induce a chemical change. At the end of the 10 days, I'd inject myself with the syringe and hope for the best.
Other -- Green Tea flavor. One of the things that Japan has actually gotten right imho is green-tea flavored everything. Green-tea flavored ice-cream, bread, rice treats, popsicles...
as far as anime's problems:
-the characters usually fall under one or two archetypes and aren't usually much more, even in romances.
-the main character is always the strongest, or becomes the strongest character.
-He's also usually a dumb ass, if he's not then is a conceited brat.
-many times the show is unoriginal.
-many times there are major plot holes, or the creators conveniently forget the limitations THEY set (e.g. bleach; when and how did the characters learn to fly? -EVERYONE was on the ground, or at mercy to gravity for a long time then they just took to the air.).
-The good guys are always goody-goody, the characters have an extremely strong and unfaltering moral sense that no one can crack.
-the story is -weak- not much in depth, and has an unsatisfactory ending.
Do you watch anything but Shonen? I'd recommend you go pick up a josei anime(Honey and Clover), then go pick up a seinen anime(Berserk). Good, now I'll admit that Berserk adheres to one of these stereotypes(Gutz is the strongest, but it's well explained why). Report back to me when you're done.
Every night for the past four months that I decided to make this apartment my home, a strange sound would pierce the strange blur that surrounded my home– or maybe just my mind. I have searched the apartment many times for it, but behind the hollow-sounding ivory walls and hard pine floors, I couldn’t find any source. The sound, at first, was like scratching. If you have fingernails, drag them along a table. Like that. It was slow, and every time I heard it, I froze up.
I actually hear this scratching quite often in a room at my dad's house. You can only hear it in one room, although it seems to be coming from the walls when you do hear it. Has anyone else experienced this? It really sounds like nails dragging across drywall, I'd be curious to know where it comes from. I don't think it's mice, because it sounds off at semi-regular intervals rather than being completely random...

Even if you bought a copy of windows, it would still be much cheaper to build a computer. And yeah, building a computer is not hard. Only required tool is a screwdriver.

Well, currently I'm on episode 82 of One Piece. It's an anime/manga about a pirate named Monkey D. Luffy and his crew. There are these special fruits that give people powers called devil fruits, but they take your ability to swim. Anyway, it runs 595 episodes on the english dubbed anime.

In the larger scheme of things, I'd say the late 80s and 90s were awesome for games. I'd consider there to have been many golden ages, including DOS(Daggerfall, Doom, Quake, Command and Conquer...), SNES(Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Mario World, Tales of Phantasia), and PC-98(Touhou, Popful Mail, Valis:Phantasm Soldier...Not to mention the eroge explosion during the pc-98 era) over in Japan.
