Although honestly, yours is better!
May I suggest an idea I would have used to keep waterfalls that work? Spring blocks, as in actual springs in rock. They'd replace the current isolated source blocks that water comes from. They'd produce an infinite quantity of water- as long as they were connected to Bedrock by a continuous string of naturally-formed springs. They'd just drop ordinary cobble. Anywhere Springs were exposed to the air, they'd constantly pump out water.
In order to keep Springs from flooding the world, what you'd need are mechanisms of evaporation (not just on hot iron, maybe just at certain slower speeds in any hot biome) and of percolation (water steadily absorbs into sand, gravel, dirt, and wood)
Already been suggested countless times.

Suggestion- Can you make a whole compilation pack of a bunch of mods that make minecraft more realistic.
There are so many chemical reactions of different substances on Earth. Why not add some to minecraft.
The work bench can do everything (almost). Why not add larger complex ones and turn the original workbench into one that solely creates more types that are more specified.
Larger crafting tables for super advanced stuff and to create workbenches below
Cooking table ( for cooking...) Many Types
Lab table (for scientific advancements) Many Types
Garden Table ( for splicing together seeds and creating stronger ones)
Tool shed ( not really a work bench but and add-on to chest)- can stack your tools into one compact box
Art Canvas- Create paintings out of coloured wool. (make a bunch of slots that can hold coloured wool. When a wool block is placed it adds that colour to a painting
Repair shop- repairs durable items
weapons table- make more weapons
Carpenters bench-FOR WOOD
Mason's table- create things like tiles and bricks and other mason stuff...
MORE TO BE ADDED
I think if you add more rewards from using the specialty benches (example: 8 planks if processed through the carpenters bench instead of 4 from the crafting bench without the mod) Also a lot more advanced items can be created!!!
anyone can add on to this
Thank you for reading this loooong post.
You know, I actually love this idea. I always thought some form of technological advancement (ala Civilization or something of the like) would be pretty cool. Just a personal opinion though. Anyway, this is getting off-topic. I'm OUT!
Apr 25, 2011Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from Drascoll »Man... Every single one of your mods are just amazing. I wasn't sold on this one until you introduced a formula to make the "old" water. Because I like infinite water sources as well as finite. But I was just playing with this mod and I was mesmerized. Opening a floodgate, water flows out.. close flood gate turn on pump. I did that for an hour, just watching the water move from one place to another. I could see this implemented into the real game. Although there should be natural springs for both water. I.E. Old water can be called salt water and is infinite. And the finite water can be drinkable and is finite (of course). There could be a filter block to filter the salt water into clean water. This way you can have the best of both world without changing the game mechanics to drastically. One block of salt water could also "contaminate" clean water turning them back to sail water blocks.
The drinkable water idea would be cool if Survival implemented Hunger and thrust ect.
Woops. What's the piston mod default blockIDs? I'll try to fix these by tonight.
I think its 100 and 101, but It can be changed with a props file.
Instead of a filter you could just put it into a furnace. (Boiling the salt out)
Apr 18, 2011If I may provide input I would say make the model for the croc a little lower to the ground, meaning have the main body part of it shorter. Other than that it's a pretty cool mod, I'll check in every now and then :biggrin.gif:Posted in: Minecraft Mods

1. Stop asking him to make all of the water finite water. This has been requested countless times. He has also responded to these requests countless times.
2. Stop asking him to make a source block. This has been requested many times. He has also responded many times.
3. Read before posting. It really isn't that difficult to do.

And yeah, that makes sense. It was just an interesting idea. So then you would have to use the finite water, which is clearly limited, you would have to be careful about water consumption and usage and what not. And have to set up piping systems to get more water to where you are... but sorry, enough rambling. This would probably fit better in PROWNE's thread anyway lol.
tl;dr = This would be cool in RealistiCraft.
P.S. - I appreciate that you actually respond to people, but you won't be able to for long. When this mod gets the credit it deserves and has 10 more pages of posts every day that would be quite the feat :biggrin.gif:
