If anyone is finding they are experiencing a large performance hit when using SonicEther's shaders, try installing the GLSL shaders, and copying the lite shaders from SonicEther into the shaders folder in your minecraft.jar. I have found this to make the performance much better, even though it looks exactly the same as it does when you just install SonicEther's shaders. I think there must be some weird optimization problem with his install. Give it a try and tell me what you think.
I support the OP on this one. Though I have to admit, the pre-release has some pretty awesome stuff. And seriously people, just because this is the internet, doesn't mean you have to be a complete douchebag about every single thing you say.
If there was a way to alter the world generation to do away with snowy biomes I would like that, though I know not everyone would. I just don't like how there's always snow there. Sorry for any idiocy in my post.
Someone may have mentioned this before, haven't checked back in a little while, but given the ability to have water fill only parts of a block there might be a way for you to make waves, or tides even. Just a thought, but anyways, keep up the fantastic work! :biggrin.gif:
Ok, I'm gonna seem like a total noob here (which I'm really not), but where can I find the bump mapping files for this? Is there a link in plain site that I'm missing or what? I feel like an idiot >.> lol
Haven't found any ore yet, probably a good thing... you don't just walk outside and find coal in the ground. This makes a use for getting charcoal from burned wood too :biggrin.gif:

I really can't confirm that this will work for anyone. It just seems to work for me. Just an option to try.
