You mean like, new motherboard and everything? Unfortunately, my budget for computer upgrades isn't so great right now.Quote from 16cadrian
Funny, doesn't say anything about the SATA speed, although looking at your other specs your systems on the old side, getting an ssd might no be the best choice, save some money up and build a new system, use an ssd as the boot and an hdd for storage/programs...

Oct 9, 2012I've been in the market for upgrading my computer lately, and have been focusing on looking for hard drives. One friend of mine tells me to go for a 128 GB Solid state drive, for boot and load times are faster. Another friend of mine tells me to go for a 1TB standard hard drive, for it will hold more space, and run things slightly slower, but decently enough. As of now, I have a standard DDR 2 500GB hard drive that runs at a speed of 7200RPM. Also, as a side-note, my motherboard is a SATA I, whilst the SSD is SATA III.Posted in: Hardware & Software Support
Could anyone highlight the pros and cons of each one, and which one I might be better off with? If you need specs, please say so below. Thanks!
Apr 18, 2012I've been working on this RTS project I've started a few weeks ago. I'm fairly new to C++ and I'm just starting on Unity coding. The only experience I have is that I'm reading through a C++ programing book. I need a bit of help. I need tutorials/input of:Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
-How to manage a GUI system to show a menu that allows me to buy units
-How to program the soldier AI's and attributes and have them attack eachother.
-How to make an exploding projectile come from a tank.
-How to make and modify a health system.
-How to move and make the AI move units to bases and enemies
Its a bit much, but if any of you out there can help me, that would be great!
Also I'm making this game on Unity
Mar 22, 2012First of all, do I need to dedicate RAM like when using a server .jar? Does the server lag more than other servers? What precautions should I make before setting up a Tekkit server?Posted in: Server Support and Administration
