I was not trying to "Go off" on him, I was just trying to see what he thought other than that "it was a prudent choice"

Rather than just criticize the idea, why not explain
1. Why you think his idea won't work.
2. What your idea is.
3. What what be the best for the creators and participators of these threads?
IMO, they could go any way, including their own sub-forum. It all depends on what the people thing. Perhaps we should make a poll and use those results to see what the community thinks and make a better decision based on that.

Isn't helpful, but saying
Is actually contributive.
Is not helpful either.

When someone troll calls, there are two ways it general goes.
1. The person is not a troll.
2. The person is a troll

The whole "banned for PMing a mod" is (to be blunt) complete nonsense. The people on that support ticked were banned for completley reasonable things, I don't know how they got that idea into their heads.

Exactly. I can't tell you how much trouble banning IPs causes. People with similar IPs get banned on accident sometimes, leading to lots of confused and often angry people. We just had a case where banning 2 IPs of a ban evader (who also happened to be tied to a hacking site) got 8+ people banned unintentionally. I ended up having to unban the IPs. Also people often have dynamic IPs/proxies, which just makes them useless. That's why we don't like banning IPs.

This should do the trick :biggrin.gif:

Oh silly me, I was reading that wrong. Disregard what I said.

Ok... I don't see the point of you bringing that old information up then. It's like using data from the 1970 Census in a paper about the way the United States is today.
