posted a message on over reporting of forum threads (poll)
We need the all of the above option. That's why I voted other. (I get to see the reports even when the person doesn't say "Reported". People report for a lot of stupid reasons, even when posts break no rules. Males actual work harder to get done.)

Look, this is similar to the "Do you speak english ******?!" post a while back. This is the internet. Not everyone knows the meme/joke/familyguy reference you base your post on.

And yes, You are still over reacting. Just because you got an infraction you don't agree with, doesn't mean we are crazy, evil, or power hungry.

So tell me, how does saying "doing your wife" compare to dropping the N-Bomb. I never cursed in my post or slurred, and saying "doing your wife" can mean a lot of things, piratebay just chose to interpret it without asking what I meant by that. I knew you would call familyguy a meme, but, to say familyguy is a meme is to say that simply using this forum is a meme, more people use forums then people use the "doing your wife" joke.

No, I'm talking about the fact that the guy called us power hungry because we didn't get his Pulp Fiction reference.

How can we know if you are making a joke or not?

I don't see how "Doing your wife" was at all apropriate for the thread or question. It doesn't add anything good in my opinion.

I also think you are over reacting. Every time anyone gets a warning they disagree with, do they do the reasonable thing and discuss it in a civil manner? No, they make a thread and start scream that we are crazy, power hungry, evil people whose sole purpose is to troll you. It really hurts me personally when people accuse me or my fellow moderators of something like this, when we work purley out of the goodness of our hearts to clean up the bad parts of these forums for others.

"You are not authorised to read this forum."

You may have noticed some recent short down time. To try to prevent it from happening again, I've disabled search until citricsquid is again available.

Well, phpBB needs to get their **** together. I like using the search function so I can actually FIND something on the forums without going to every topic.

If you don't know already, we are soon to be ditching phpBB entirely for IPB, which is much better, very soon.

Oh for god sakes. This server can't even hold people searching? Man, fail server is fail.

No, it can handle people searching just fine. It can't handle people exploiting bugs in phpBB's shitty search function to intentionally cause server lag.

Alright, I unbanned all the IPs that have the reason "Ban Evasion and Extreme Flaming" I don't know what caused that to ban a whole bunch of innocents, but it should be fixed now.

I apologize sincerely for any problems and am glad to help you If you think you were wrongfully banned. You can PM or contact me or another moderator quickly on IRC. Just join the channel #minecraftforums on irc.esper.net

Please do not use work that is not your own without the original creator's permission. I could understand if you used 2 or 3 block textures, but when you use almost the entire terrain.png sheet with a few small tweaks, that's not acceptable. Please get permission from the people whose work you use.
    Locked.

The Off-Topic forums ARE moderated. It's just that the expectations for moderators in that section are different than other sections: Off-Topic mods are expected not only to uphold the rules and crush spammers under an iron fist, but also to be active in the community, and not be some kind of distant mod-bot. (Or at least that's how I see it.)

The rules are upheld in all places, that's why they're called 'rules'.

We aren't supposed to be Mod-Bots regardless of where we are Pillow. n-n

I'm in Mapping and Modding and I'm very active in the community :smile.gif:

    Mod-bot tend to be unpopular.
