I am unable to reproduce this. Can you provide a screenshot of your setup, and provide the version you are running?
I'm sorry that it has taken me a while to get back to you. After you said you couldn't reproduce it, I wanted to try some things out.
We're using 0.28.9 on a server with other mods.
It looks like the Steam Heaters that spawn in villages are having duplication issues, but not ones that we craft nor grab out of NEI. My servermate collected the Steam Heaters from the villages and was using them on his setup.
Oh, great and powerful Santa. We've found a bug... The Steam Heaters are duplicating themselves in memory.

We have an odd situation. Mrhilamma and I have taken over a modpack, SolitaryCraft, that did have permission to use the mod, however, since the modpack has changed hands, we have to go back in and re-ask for permission. So, yes, the modpack has been since before January 1st, but its under new ownership. Let me know?
I, for one, would love to see a config to tweak the damage done by the weapons. We have buffed mobs in our modpack and fear that there's very little incentive to use the musket over the tinker's bow and arrows (other than looking cool).
We've tweaked Metallurgy's rarer-materialed swords to be comperable to a fully quartzed-up tinker's weapon (24 attack and such) and would very much like to do the same for these weapons.
