in my opinion armor trims are completely useless and a waste of resources it would be cool if adding a trim can make armor last longer or have any effect that made them more than just aesthetic. like having diamond trim on gold armor made it last as long as iron armor or something like that
gold trim can increase your movement or mining speed like any effect even if it is barely noticeable would make getting a trim worth it in my eyes
