posted a message on Peculiar Made-Up Diseases

For this forum game, you must think of a made-up disease based on the made-up disease name in the post above you, and then you must put down your own made-up disease name (a phrase implying something weird happening to someone). You must describe the disease, the symptoms, and the cause, and also state how the disease would be treated (similar to Theme Hospital or Two Point Hospital diseases).

I will start by assuming the disease name above me is "Mental Layoffs":

Description: The sufferer loses brain cells once every few days, in batches of a few thousand at a time.

Symptoms: The sufferer's mental capacity/state declines over time, and they also slowly lose their memories and skills.

Cause: Attempting to do creative acts even after running out of ideas.

Treatment: The patient must be injected with medicine containing a fresh supply of brain cells and ideas.

posted a message on 1.16.4 Vanilla- Light Bleeds Through Smooth Sandstone

I am trying to make a landmark for my map, and the landmark has flashing lights at night. However, some of the light "bleeds through", making two of the sides always lit up. The flashing lights use redstone torches BTW!

This is what it looks like:

A close-up view of the lights.

And this is what it looks like from the ground level:

Any ideas on how I can stop the light from "bleeding through" the sandstone?

I was originally going to do a modpack, but I had trouble getting it to work properly, so I decided to do a map instead.

The virus is spread by chickens, sheep, pigs, cows, and tropical fish, all which can also get it. The virus is also spread through meat dropped by the aforementioned animals, wheat, wheat seeds, and carrots. It will probably take me a couple of years to finish the maps so I can post it. Also, the aforementioned animals, food, and crops are the only things that can spread the Wither Virus. Infected Villagers and animals are also taken in to a secure location on-site at the laboratory or at one of their medical facilities. Also, in a map that I am making which takes place in a medieval fantasy world, the Wither Virus will also spread through a village during one quest.

posted a message on Medical/Disease Themed Maps- Too Soon?

I plan on making a few maps during this quarantine/lockdown that involve a "Wither Virus" outbreak (it won't spread throughout the Minecraft world, just in a 500-block radius at most), which is basically the Wither effect spreading. I also want to make a laboratory that also has a place form researching medicine, and in one of the maps, I want to have stuff related to a cure for Wither.

The symptoms for the Wither Virus would be Weakness, Slowness, Mining Fatigue, and Wither.

Is this "Too Soon" (taking advantage of a tragic or sensitive event, often in a distasteful way)? No bats will be involved in the Wither Virus, and the Wither Virus shows no similarities to COVID-19.

posted a message on My villagers seem to be slacking off!

I am having a problem here. I am trying to make a village for an RPG map I am making that consists of bridges made of jungle wood and buildings on tree tops. An overhead view of the village is below (ignore the other village in the plains biome in the distance):

    The village in question.

However, my villagers aren't going to work; instead, they are stuck at home, even though they have apparently "seen" the job site blocks as shown below:

My villagers are staying at home for some reason...

Can you guys please help me with this issue? I am on Minecraft 1.15.2 vanilla btw! Also, sorry for the image quality! I had to resize the images to be able to post them here!

OK, but are you sure it is safe for me to make Minecraft YouTube videos and mark them as "not made for kids?"

posted a message on Question About COPPA

Are all Minecraft videos "Made For Kids?" A lot of Minecraft YouTubers have not gotten hit by COPPA's effects yet, but I have seen some other videos that have been affected by COPPA. I just uploaded a video about setting off TNT, followed by summoning the Wither, and Disc 11 is played shortly after the video starts. Will including this kind of stuff make my video safe from COPPA? Also, I am sorry if this has already been asked before, and feel free to move this to the "correct" section if you think it is necessary, mods!
