posted a message on Things that annoy you on/about servers?

I hate people on servers that say you suck at PVP then when you kill them they cry about how they were lagging or some other lame excuse.

Then once you kill them again they find another excuse as to why they suck so hard at PVP.

(There are a lot of people like this on Mineplex, specifically Dominate and SG. i don't know about other servers)

posted a message on Tips For Getting Better At PVP? HELP!!!!

Hey guys, so recently i have been playing a lot of Mineplex survival games. I have pretty decent stats : around 500 kills 145 deaths and 33 wins (i have only been playing for 4 days). Im not trying to sound overly cocky but i can beat most everyone in a game unless they are teamed or have WAY better stuff than me, but even though i am decent i want to improve my PVP skills! so my questions are:

Is there a way to get critical hits more often?

How do i strafe? (i can already strafe but i need to improve my strafing skills)

How do i beat a team of two?

What are some tips you can give me to do better?

Zombies are already really easy to kill.
More zombies spawning when you attack a zombie was added to make them harder, it would make no sense to make them easier to kill then they already are.
    No support.

I honestly dont have this problem. As long as you keep them away from fire then you should be fine. but just in case i would keep a potion of healing on you.

Nice idea. Though one concern I'd have with them spawning in deserts is that, the horse and villager AIs being what they are, there's a good chance it will walk into a cactus and kill itself.

It would have new AI specifically for the merchant mob. Which would prevent it from running into cactus. It would avoid dangers (mobs, cactus, lava pools, holes in the ground). It would also have all the AI features i listed previously (running away if attacked etc).

(I ACCIDENTLY DIDNT QUOTE THE GUY I WAS RESPONDING TO)

(I was going to say that if attacked by zombies they will fight back but it didnt seem to fit) But if you (the player) or a zombie attacks them they will flee at top speed

Sounds good, but I need some info. Do these villagers despawn (so its like they traveled away when you leave)? Do the donkeys drop the items or the villagers (villagers are a human like mob, so murdering villagers shouldn't directly give you anything)? Are they one mob, or a mob riding a mob?

Support, but I really want more details.

They despawn in this way: Once you are done trading with them or if they are in your sights for more then 5 minutes and you dont trade with them then they will leave farther than your chunks will load and despawn. The merchant will stay on the donkey forever unless you kill the donkey. If you kill the donkey the merchants will not trade with you however. If you kill the donkey they are on he will drop a chest (100% chance) if you kill the merchants then they will drop the items i listed. They are pretty much a mob riding a mob

Anything that improves Travelling and Exploring is always welcome (Except for cities), I would look for them in game, also can they travel between biomes?

    Support

They do spawn in mesa/desert biome but they can wander in other biomes. (thanks for support btw)

Imagine you are walking in a desert biome and you cant find any villages. You go on for hundreds of blocks but they just dont seem to be spawning. And then in the distance you see what looks like donkeys with chests on them. As you get closer you realize that there are villagers riding on the donkeys. you go up to the villager and left click on him. A screen pops up and he is offering you a saddle for 10 emeralds!

These villagers are what i like to call merchants, they travel on donkeys and rarely spawn in desert and mesa biomes.

Just like regular villagers they are passive and will not attack you even if you hit them. But if you do hit them they will attempt to get away by having their donkey go at full speed away from you. Regularly though the donkeys they ride on go at a very slow pace. Like regular villagers they have 20 health points. (10 hearts).

    DROPS:

When you kill them they could drop the following items: Saddles (Very rare drop), cooked fish, fishing rods, And emeralds (they drop 1 to 5 emeralds sometimes when you kill them).

PURPOSE OF THEM IN THE GAME:

The purpose they serve is to make desert and mesa biomes more interesting. And currently mesa biomes cannot spawn any temples or villages. I only ever go to mesa biomes for clay blocks so i think the merchants will give players a reason to travel to mesa biomes, And overall just make them more interesting. Of course their main purpose is to trade items with players. Their trade offers will also be cheaper than regular villagers.

    ITEMS THAT THEY WILL TRADE:

The merchants will trade a variety of items for you depending on their profession (career) their are 3 types of merchants (these villager types will not be able to spawn in villages).

Foodstuff merchant. (Rarest merchant that spawns) These types of merchants wear dark blue robes and wear a sombrero on their head (due to warm climates) they are able to trade the following items: Golden apples (Very rare trade offer), steak, cookies, fish, cake (slightly less rare than the golden apples), and rabbit stew.

Weaponsmith merchant. these types of merchants will wear a purple robe and a black backpack type thing on his back (please note that the items the villagers are wearing will not be accessible to the players). The weaponsmith will trade the following items: Diamond swords (VERY rare trade offer). Iron swords, stone swords bows, arrows and chainmail armor (All items that he trades has a chance of being enchanted).

Warlock merchant. These types of merchants wear a yellow and black robe and have a stick and some potions strapped onto their backs. They will trade the following items: Every type of potion, Enchanted books, blaze rods, enderpearls, and eye of enders, and empty maps.

Oh, and another thing. Critical hits happen while you're falling, not when you're jumping.

Howcome you said "Oh, and another thing"? That was the only thing you said...

Anyways when you jump dont you technically "fall" on your way down so the critical hit while jumping still applies then right?

Rather than block hitting i would say just jump while hitting them it increases critical hits!

Also block hitting decreases your mobility by a lot because you cant sprint while blocking. Ive been in many situations where someone is block hitting me and 90% of the time they dont win the fight. Also because block hitting causes you to be slower its harder for you to dodge hits and easier for your enemy to hit you. Jumping around/strafing has the best mobility, its harder for your enemy to hit you AND it increases critical hits.

so instead of blocking your oppenents hits why not just not get hit at all?
