I see a lot of whining and complaining, and whining and complaining about the complainers, and "you paid to be a tester, it's an alpha, etc" stuff.

What a lot of people seem to be missing is you didn't even buy an alpha. You didn't pay to be a tester.


As on minecraft.net itself: YOU PRE-ORDERED MINECRAFT. Access to the alpha and beta tests is a bonus pack-in that comes with every pre-order.

What you've paid for is the finished game, when it's finished. Your existing access to minecraft is a PRE ORDER BONUS.

That makes all the whining sound ten times more ridiculous than it already does.

No offense to you personally, but that is miserable. Especially the terribly scaled-up blurry mess that is a number of your tiles.

I'm not at all able to discern what you're trying to do with this pack, it seems all over the place, hastily executed, and very inconsistent.

I don't have the URL handy but someone coded a website where you can upload your save, and it generates a zoomable google maps API version.

in real life, walking towards a volcano, your feet would burn up before you even came within viewing range of the molten lava, and by the time you dragged yourself up to it, you'd be dying, cooked alive, without even TOUCHING the lava.

I keep a jukebox with a single record chest next to it in a listening room in my castle... and I'm eager to fill that chest with records.

That is exceptionally clever use of the grass mechanic, and a very well executed concept shot of your idea.

I couldn't see myself playing it full time, but bravo on some real creativity, instead of just another video game conversion (good as some of them may be).
