BAM! As promised, Vechs, here is your PonyYou. :3
-snip-
My experience with gloves and tools is zero, so forgive me if I got something extremely wrong.
Hope you like it!
Impressive job, the expression gives him the proper menacing feel.
You certainly are putting a great deal of thought and effort into the construction of this map. I've enjoyed every preview shot you have shown us and I hope to play your map soon.
Using this picture I was able to try an idea I've been waiting to do, a few mock MTG cards for a "Vechs vs Zisteau" dual deck:
This was made a bit quickly, So I am open to any suggestions on balancing/ability changes people might suggest.
The idea was inspired by a durring his Lethamyr lets play. " Who can cage the sun? Only Veches." And the skin made by Eric inspired me to try out this idea.
If you do not want me using the image of the skin you made Eric, just let me know.
It's most likely just the perspective, but the cobwebs near the exit to the right look like they are blocking the way...
It's very atmospheric, I hope to see this new map soon.
Inferno Mines? Fallen Kingdom? That new commission map?
Based on the cobwebs, I'm guessing it's the last one.
Based on the lava, I'm saying it's the first one.
I have to disagree, last we heard from Vechs he was working on the commission map. I don't think He would be working on either Super Hostile map while he gots a project he's being payed for on the stack.
That looks quite impressive, is that Fallen Kingdom perhaps?
It does looks like a kindgom, and the covering above it could be explained by whatever made it fall (A strong smog or cloud).
Or perhaps it could be a dwarven citadel lost deep within the Inferno Mines.
It's the 2nd commission project I'm working on. (The first being Waking Up for Andrea). It has no official name yet, my working title for it is "No One Can Hear You Scream". It's a Sci-fi themed CTM map with a very dark and creepy atmosphere. Oh, and that bulbous structure up top is a nest.
It appears I posted a little late, oh well.
Still looking forward to this new map, and from the looks you have shown of it the map fits the title you have given it quite well.
I can not wait, it looks amazing and inviting (Which helps with a false sence of security).
I want to guess it is going to be the next Canopy Carnage, but the roof is making me guess it will be Inferno Mines instead.
Just a very simple promo reel featuring the new multiplayer map, Race For The Wool. Don't worry, no spoilers here. And yes, the rules are read out by Vechs himself.

That arrow you shot at 1:28 was one of the best placed shots I have ever seen. The fact that it was leathal made it all the better.
How... how did you get Coestar of all people to try your map? It is so rare to see him do anything in minecraft outside of his normal map, not that is a bad thing.
Probabaly will just edit this post when I finish watching, depending on how many people post after me.
Oh, we aren't even done yet. We each have hours of footage of us messing around:
Here's the pre-fight and post-fight highlight reel:

And vechs teaching us how to make cannons:

Thank you for reminding me to watch the highlight reel, I had forgotten about it. I was in the middle of pause's viewpoint video and had yet to see Cleo's view (but had already watched yours) when I made that comment.
I did really enjoy the Cannon videos as well, it's not surprising what happened with Zisteau after the statue incident....
Edit
That Super Hostile Multiplayer map sounds great, looking forward to the videos people post about it.
I feel the best was everyone VS Zisteau,.
I watched Joe's video first, so I didn't think that pause had written anything on the sign he put down. Then i saw his video....
Hopefully there can be another great event like that in the future.
Excellent interview, I really enjoyed it. It was great to hear Vechs' voice for the first time.
Here's hoping that you keep with the intersections for Infernal Sky II Vechs. (You did a great Zisteau impression).
Congrats on completing #7 with a score of 18 out of 29 (15/16 colours and three "metals"). You fought hard and used some better tactics then I did (such as using pistons to help your advance through difficult parts)
I was amazed when you set off the trap in episode #109, I don't know how you didn't see that the lava would start coming after you....
Is there a good reason to use a water-pillar to help with SMP-spawning? As far as I can see a simple staircase would fulfill the same function while eliminating the potential for abuse thats inherent in giving a player that early access to water.
While for most players that doesn't matter (someone who wants to cheat will do it anyway, someone who wants to play honest will just ignore the water) the inherent design-flaw of enabling an easy way to cheat just bugs me. :dry.gif:
The water pillar is for a quick descent. It was realised a while after the map was released that a simple water pool could be used instead, but it was not too much of an issue to require a new version of the map.
News: Did you guys feel that? I thought I felt a small tremor, as if the earth below a distant land seizes and churns... or it could have just been the wind, who knows?
This is getting me very, very excited. I'm looking forward to seeing this map.

Hmm....
A giant cavern of spider webs, poximity detectors, buildings, and ....
Hmm, what else can be added to this list?

*eyetwitch* I'm just going to keep telling myself it is not another Castle Invidia, even though that seems so many times worse...
