The people who hate it usually have never played. Because some of those arguments, like the graphics one, is invalid once you realize that that is the point of the game. However, In my personal opinion I think one reason why the game could be getting hate is because of its seemingly ever lowering age of users.

Would it look funny to have yellow light coming from a green lamp? Just a thought.

This would be cool for perhaps RPG servers as well adding an extra level of depth and having to recognize someone by how they look (assuming it was that complex of a community). Support.

I on the other hand half support. I would love a for colored stair to match a home/etc, but I don't think wool should be the item to go with. Definitely not leaf stairs though. Wouldn't fit in with other kinds of stairs or any texture. But, I could be proven wrong.

Firstly this isn't even in the right section. Secondly, you're not going to get a position here like this. Even if you do it is going to be on some crappy server. The easiest way to become staff is to join a server and work your way up. Help people even if you aren't a moderator and act mature. By posting here it is pretty evident that you just want op for fun and commands. The time I chose to be staff on a server was because I cared about the server greatly and it was taking a turn for the worse, so I stepped in to help. Put some time in and show the owners that you want to be staff to help the server and the players not for /gamemode 1.

I agree in part with this post. I definitely wouldn't mind changes to the teleportation screen but I would like something more original.

If they were implemented though, I feel like this would be the correct way to do it. Maybe make the wood be charred wood or something and have a smokey grey appearance.

I'd rather not have them in the over world. Imagine on SMP people planting these and with the exponential growth it seems a bit much.
