Hey Stole, I have a suggestion. Since this server is a PVE server, why not let players protect their land? I know that's something not generally associated with vanilla Minecraft, but I made it possible! Just click here to download the MCEdit schematic which will add it to your world.

posted a message on Development of "plugins" using command blocks in vanilla Minecraft
Hey guys! I'm a long-time Minecrafter and Redstoner, but I just recently started using Minecraft forums. I'm working on something where I'll give out MCEdit shcematics. You would import them into your world in the spawn chunks, press the auto setup button, and press enable. It's that simple! What I'm working on first is a custom crafting system. I've made the core of it. If you activate it and place down an upwards-facing dropper and throw a crafting table on top of it, it'll make a Crafter. This is signified by the smoke and fire which will be around it and some text in your chat saying "Crafter created!". If you destroy a Crafter, it will drop the crafting bench and say in your chat "Crafter destroyed!". Now this is as far as I've gotten. There will be one modular box needed for each crafting recipe you want. It'll be a little hard to set the recipe up due to the syntax, but I'll help you guys out if you need it. Once I finish everything, I'll give dropbox links to MCEdit schematics of everything you'll need to set up this pseudo plugin. I will make a second pseudo plugin based on giving extra purposes to items, such as jetpacks or other special items. This means you can have custom-crafted items which have special purposes. Unfortunately, it will be difficult to set up your own specialized items without knowledge of command blocks, but I will be responding to you and helping you out with that. Peace!
    (Updated for new plugin creation)
Links for everything I've made are below.

posted a message on Comets and Iridium
I think that diamonds are definitely rare, but one can find them somewhat quickly. I suggest something like this: Comets are generated randomly into the landscape as you explore. In these comets, you can find Iridium. Now, iridium is not something you would make armor out of. I think you should be able to use it to create specialized blocks. One idea is and Iridium Furnace, a furnace crafted with one iridium ingot. I kind of get tired waiting around for my items to smelt. Don't you? An iridium furnace would smelt twice as fast as a normal furnace, but it would also use fuel twice as fast. Another possible machine would be an iridium piston, which possibly would be able to push more than 12 blocks. Possibly, something like an iridium anvil would be crafted. This iridium anvil could repair items with less experience required to do so. Maybe it could also allow special tools to be created, like diamond knives. A diamond knife would take one diamond and one stick. It would do more damage than a sword, but would have a much lower range. That's because you would be stabbing them, not swinging at them. Its damage would probably also be more heavily decreased by armor. My last suggestion would be an ore detecter. Before you jump out of your seat from my unoriginal idea, hear me out. This metal detector has limited uses and a limited range. You would right click on a block, and it would use up one of its about 25 uses, scanning for coal in a 40-block radius, iron in a 25-block radius, redstone and lapis in a 15-block radius, and diamond in a 10-block radius. Maybe the ranges could be decreased, you tell me. Make sure to leave feedback about whether you like my suggestion!

Alright, I think I've outdone myself this time. Once you have a protection created, you can teleport to it. You do this by renaming a stick, it has to be a stick, "Home." Remember that the H MUST be capitalized. Then you hold the stick named Home in your FIRST HOTBAR SLOT and right click. It will teleport you to your home and give you the stick back. The right-click detection was the hardest part. Due to how it works, armor stands unfortunately cannot be placed. They will be deleted shortly after being placed. Since this is an addon to the original GriefDenial, the original had to be modified to support it. All of the previous links will work. To download the home plugin, click here. Make sure you don't spam the stick too fast, or you might lose it.

I'm going to give out links to everything I've made so far.

Three commands, if activated in order, should fix it. The first command should be /stats block x y z AffectedItems Items [Scoreboard objective]. The second should be /scoreboard players set Items [Scoreboard objective] 0. The third has to be the command blocks at the coordinates of the first command and is: /clear [Player] [Item] 0 0

I think only the custom crafting one would be useful for adventure maps. You don't need special protected areas that every player can have in an adventure map, they're likely to be in adventure or spectator mode the whole time. If you want to be able to create items with different recipes, then you can feel free to use my custom crafting system. If you have any questions or suggestions, then make sure to reply below.

I'm sorry to say that, because of an unfixable bug, the custom crafting system has been taken down. I apologize for having to do this, but I could find no way to fix the bug where one recipe in the custom crafting table could lead to the output of a different recipe. There's no way to fix this without having to manually modify each and every recipe module. The grief prevention system has no such bug, so feel free to download and enjoy it.

Update: They have been re-added! Scroll down!
