thats exactly what its like -_-plus many more features are still to be added, if you havent noticed the version is alpha 0.1.2 or something and survival as an update was recently confirmed, its not a horrible price, could be 9.99 like originally priced

Everything feels expensive with the "race-to-the-bottom" prices on the App Store.

I'm glad to see it there, it is an excellent port of Minecraft PE and I'm sure it will just get better from here on out! As it stands, I really didn't expect it to be out so soon. Hopefully work is easily transferable between versions so we see lots of nice updates!

I am going to make this simple for everyone. We had nothing when we bought minecraft when first released. But then we were rewarded with new content over time. Now we have a full games that we only had to pay $10 for instead of like $30 now. Minecraft PE has been confirmed to get survival and i am sure it will have the features of pc on it. Now with that in mind paying $6.99 for a game that will eventually be a full game not just creative wouldn't you think your getting a deal? Honestly just because others games on iOS are $0.99 doesn't mean all apps should be that price. You will be rewarded for you purchase so buy it. That is all fellow Minecrafters.

Yes it is, it could relate in a way similar to that. Though Minecraft has no storyline.

Or it could be like buying Assassin's Creed and getting the mobile version of Assassin's Creed(whatever they call it) for free. It just isn't a profit.

Or keeps me preoccupied while Black Friday shopping with my gf, something to do while they're in a girly store. Last time we went shopping she went to Claire so I had to look at my phone ignoring my surroundings.

I like it. If you think about it $6 is about the same price as a combo meal at McDonalds, but that burger and fries are gone in 10 minutes tops. This little investment will get you a LOT more fun time, and as others have said, you're investing in the future of the game, which, if the development of the PC version is any guide, will be epic indeed.

I'm a little bummed that they're apparently using the same release timeline as the launch (Xperia play first, then all android devices, and then iOS months later :sad.gif: maybe its because android uses java and iOS uses objective C. I suppose they can lift whole sections of code from the PC version ), but it is what it is, I suppose

Reason: If you bought this through the apple app store (and probably android too) then you'll get all the official updates (including the upcoming survival) for free. Of course it seems overpriced right now- but you aren't really paying for what it is now- you're paying for what it will become. And they need the development money to do that.

Another way to look at is: say they did charge $.99 now. If you want the Survival update then that will costs you another $2, additional mobs another $2, bigger world, $.99, and on... and on... and on. Forget that! Pay your $7 now and get it over with!

Sheesh, you're bitching about $6 so you can play your favorite game on your $200 phone....

Honestly, I absolutely agree. Minecraft for the computer is free to download. You just need an account. Why be charging for the app when you could just sign in with your account?

Then again, considering PE is a completely separate game, it makes sense to charge for it.

Possibly a stupid question, but how is everybody getting their mods upgraded to 1.3? For my first foray into modding I used the Minecraft Coder Pack, but last I checked it doesn't support 1.3 yet. Is there some other program I can use for reobfuscating my already-modified code for 1.3_01?
