posted a message on MCreator-Has It Gotten Better?

When I was younger, I desperately wanted to make a farming mod, but I struggled to understand most modding tutorials because I didn't have an understanding of coding.(Truthfully I still kinda don't, though I could probably learn it now) I heard of MCreator and decided to give it a try, but I was...Not impressed. It was limited, confusing and lacked proper tutorials at the time. Not to mention it was mostly kids using it to make very basic and cringy mods. I pretty much gave up on modding after that.

Years later I've been thinking of maybe getting back into modding as a side project to work on from time to time. I came across some new MCreator videos, and seems like it's gotten better maybe? Like I was surprised to find tutorials and such for it. Maybe with some basic knowledge of coding, could you use MCreator as a good modding program?

As far as what kind of mod I'd like to make, I still wanna make a farming mod, but one that's inspired by Animania and adds a more immersive farming experience.

If anyone uses MCreator and can tell me what it's like these days, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

    That makes sense.

I think this is just another "Bla bla bla this thing's dead" whine case.

posted a message on Worst Minecraft Mods (Modifications) Ever!

I know this thread's most likely dead, but I gotta give my two cents.

I generally don't like mods that make the game too easy, too hard, or just weird. I especially hate meme mods, and I get that they're a joke, but the humor gets old very quick.

The worst mod I've ever played has to be Headcrumbs. Now, I use to LOVE that mod, but over the years I've grown to dislike it, mainly because I feel like it's wasted potential. All it does is add YouTuber heads, and honestly, that's not very interesting to me. The novelty wears off very quick, especially since several of the YouTubers in it aren't active MC players anymore.(I have no problem with these people moving on and doing other videos, but it just seems silly for them to be part of a mod when they're no longer playing MC.)

I wish it added more animal heads, or even created cool, decorative head mounts. Also, I don't think it allows you to add the heads of mobs from other mods.(Example-Animania) I could be wrong about that.

posted a message on Is this forum DEAD?

It's probably multiple reasons why the forums aren't as active as they were. Truth be told, I don't think many forums and message boards are as active as they were 10 years ago. Websites like Reddit, Discord and others have kinda taken over. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just the sad reality.

The initial shut down of the site certainly scared people away, which is probably the biggest reason.

The forum's not really dead, but it's not as big or popular as it once was. I think the only thing that could truly kill it would be if the new admins neglect it. But I'm not gonna jump to that conclusion yet; I think it's better to give them a try first.

posted a message on Quick Comment About the Shutdown

I'm glad that the forums aren't being discontinued now, as this website is very useful for MC players. However, when the announcement was initially made, I noticed quite a few people trying to blame all of this on Microsoft and/or claim that the old admins were being paid to do this.

What bothers me that the admins clearly stated that it was a business decision that they themselves made, and that Microsoft had nothing to do with it, and yet...Folks continued to cry the opposite. :/

Now, I see some folks claiming this whole thing was nothing but an elaborate publicity stunt. I don't think that's the case at all, as it's pointless. Again, I think this is just cynics trying to defuse a situation with their own nonsense. Everyone's a conspiracy theorist these days...

Anyway, just throwing this out there as a quick comment. I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

posted a message on Does anyone else feel like Minecraft is getting too mod-like?

I feel like this has all come full circle. We went from complaining about how Minecraft doesn't have enough, to now it has too much. People will never be happy regardless of what Mojang does.

Personally I think the updates are fine, and most of the things they've added are good, but what bothers me is how quickly the game's being updated. They feel like they come out every few months, which doesn't give you enough time to mess around with the one you're currently on. last time I played Vanilla, I was still on 1.12.2 and I was waiting for 1.13. Next thing I knew 1.14 is out, and I STILL haven't tried out 1.13.

One the one hand I'm glad the game's being regularly updated, but at the same time, I don't want too much at once. (It's especially annoying if you make mods and it's going way too quick to update)

While I'm sad that this mod is going away, I understand your position. It was an ambitious and awesome idea that would've been great to use. I hope things will work out well for you in the future. :)

posted a message on Animania: Immersive Animals and Pets mod that improves the passive animal experience in Minecraft

This has become my favorite mod. Hands down. I love playing with this in my rustic survival along with Pam's Harvestcraft! You guys have done a great job, and I hope it'll continue to grow. :)

The only down fall is that it doesn't have highland cattle. (XD Nah, it's perfect. Just teasing)

Thank you for making this wonderful mod!

Incredible, people continue to whine about this mod and claim it's not finished. None of you understand how hard it is to mod, or understand that these developers have lives outside of this project. If you're going to continue to belittle the developers, then don't bother following this project anymore. You're attitudes aren't going to encourage the team to continue it.

posted a message on I miss Minecraft

Your suggestion is bold and noble, but I don't think it would work, and the reason for that is because people don't want to do anything about it. They only want to complain and that's it.

I think at this point people just want to hear themselves talk; they don't really want anything to be done, because then they'd have to work for it. It's easier for these people to just sit around and whine about the game rather than actually do something.

These MC dying threads need to stop. Minecraft isn't dying, it's fine the way it is. If people don't like that the game's changed, then they need to stop playing it and find something else.

I take breaks from the game every once in a while and play something else, but Minecraft always calls me back. <3

posted a message on Stop Complaining

My main issue is with people who complain about the game "not being like it was in the old days" or over very minor, unimportant issues. When it comes to functionality, such as something not working as it's suppose to, then it's understandable and should be talked about.

I understand having conversion issues, even though I don't have to deal with that.

But to me you're not complaining just to complain. You're complaining about something that should be fixed. There's the difference.

Maybe people like you should complain about real-life issues instead of a stupid game. Also wrong, the game doesn't belong to the consumers, we just play it.
