Techguy. As someone who likes doing small mods, PLEASE, PLEASE!! port the modloader list to forge in order before doing dimension and GUI. You are the best tutorial maker and I want to keep using your tutorials. All the other 1.4 forge tutorials are too complicated or they don't have anything good.
It's actually really easy to port to forge. If you know how to make a basic forge class, it isn't too hard to make anything else. Try looking at a few forge tuts from other people to see how to make things like blocks, and then you will know how to make the more advanced things using techguys.
Ok I'm currently working on a large mod called "Xtracraft". I'll put in a list of what's added so far.
It will require Minecraft Forge
I have a few questions. First, how do you make a world chunk manager for a dimension. The full source for the rest of the dimension should be included. How do you make an ignitable portal, and how do you make the correct portal form in the dimension, and not a nether portal? Finally, how do you make a chunk provider with new blocks that have any id, without having to modify Block.java to get them to a lower id.
And Here's the list: -Added different colored bricks, including a glowing brick and rainbow brick -Added glowing colored bricks, including a glowing rainbow brick -Added a bunch of creative tabs for future blocks and items -Added some new biomes: (list still growing) Rainforest, Grassland, Ice Field, Savanna, Temperate Forest, Chaparral, Coniferous Forest
Hey, can you update the tools and ore generation section to 1.4.7?
You know, you can just copy and paste from the minecraft source code. Look at Techguy's tutorial, see what file you want to update, and instead of using Techguy's code, use the original minecraft one. It works exactly the same pretty much.

Ok just wanted to know. It's just the world chunk manager I don't know how to make. Everything else is really easy.
