There is really nothing wrong with Apple computers. Bottom line is, if you aren't looking to spend much money don't buy a Mac.

Just note the brand of the Phantom case is NZXT. The limited green one is pretty nice though.

    $3,500 - $4,000

gah, is there something prebuilt i can get at bestbuy without going through all the trouble?

Grab one of these parts each:

    Phantom Case
    Noctua NH D14 CPU COOLER
    Intel Core i7 2600K
    G.Skill Ripjaws 16GB
    TWO WD Caviar Black 1TB
Corsair HX-1050 80 PLUS Silver Power Supply
    ASUS Maximus IV Extreme Z
    Crucial M4 SSD 512GB
    Radeon Sapphire 6970 CF

Might as well since you want a $4,000 computer. Excellent build up there, but if you want to max it out just get that one you mentioned. The 990X or something. That's even better, but I'm just suggesting whats best for your money. Fact is you don't NEED all this extra jazz, but you want it all. So if you want a great computer thats the best in everything at this time, just get the 16GB. But be careful of the brands etc. You'd best get everything as listed.

Now, onto the Radeon. It outperforms nVidia in SOME benchmarks and is really the better GPU in my honest opinion, but you're welcome to swap it for: TWO Asus GeForce GTX 590 3GB which turns it to around $4,500 or just get one which wouldn't entirely be noticeable since you won't use all 8 real and virtual GPUs.

Yeah, a decent laptop would be more than OK. Currently running on a Sony Vaio Z 2010 model from ages ago, runs Crysis 2 like a charm on fairly decent settings. No doubt the new sandy bridge and better GeForces would do 20x that.

I'm going to do something with your mind here.

    Intel® Core™ i7 990X Processor Extreme Edition (6x 3.46GHz/12MB L3 Cache)
6-Core CPU - Highest Performing Desktop Processor

Get that if you just want to max out everything.

But... What happens if I do this. Intel Core i5 2500K - Really Awesomely Performing Desktop Processor For Your Needs.

See what I did there? I made the i5 just as good.

ok then so im looking at ibuypower, price aside whats the best they make or do i have to custom make it?
and which of these would run it at ultra without having to overclock
    Intel® Core™ i7 960 Processor (4x 3.20GHz/8MB L3 Cache)
    Intel® Core™ i7 970 Processor (6x 3.20GHz/12MB L3 Cache) FREE Upgrade to Intel Core i7 980 Processor
    6-Core CPU[+$300]
    Intel® Core™ i7 980 Processor (6x 3.33GHz/12MB L3 Cache)
    6-Core CPU[+$300]
    Intel® Core™ i7 980X Processor Extreme Edition (6x 3.33GHz/12MB L3 Cache)
    6-Core CPU[+$550]
    Intel® Core™ i7 990X Processor Extreme Edition (6x 3.46GHz/12MB L3 Cache)
6-Core CPU - Highest Performing Desktop Processor

Ok. Fine. I'll play along. You want the absolute best computer. What's your budget and I'll get you a build. And Radeon Sapphire 6970 CF outperforms nVidia in some benchmarks.

All of them would run it at Ultra, and if there was a SUPERLOMEIHFIUBW option it'd run that fine too, but you're mostly looking at GPU for games, CPU only does the 3D **** and whatnot.

Cheapest option: Get i5 2500k and it'd run the SUEIEFWEFNWE option just as well as the others.

The 590 is overkill, again. I seem to think you're building on the lower end starting models by price.

I'd have to disagree with zero on the processor though. Those benchmarks don't entirely apply to the games he plays as well as being relatively unnoticeable.

Long story short, get an i5 2500k, two 1TB drives (trust me, worth the extra money even considering we're trying to save here) and the 8GB RAM. Get the next lowest option on the graphics card if you want to save a little money.

Oh, and some relatively stupid parts in there for no reason. Unless you're doing serious hardcore video editing, you don't need an i7. Also note that overclocked parts degrade faster.

16GB of RAM is ridiculous, I can guarantee you aren't even going to use 4. Get an 8 if you want that much RAM but for gaming you won't need a ridiculous amount like that.

    I forget what OP is.

Just get the option for two 1TB drives in RAID 0 if you really want an alien then.

EDIT: Right, he needs to get it financed and ****. Then go with the above modifications then, forget building your own.

You can get much better parts for a similar or even cheaper a price. With buying pre-builts, you also have no option on what brand to use for everything, for example it may say a 2TB drive but its most probably a Seagate drive which is the worst brand. Also, 2TB drives are unreliable in that it'll die faster so get two 1TB drives in a RAID configuration. Register an account on a computing fanatics forum or Hack Forums and ask for advice there.

I've decided to update and release, although using an adCraft service I found while browsing HF earlier today.

    http://adcraft.co/avxs

That link will support me and also encourage me to continue updating it/ providing support, if you enjoy the mod please thank me below.

If you reupload it, I will take down this mod and never update it again. Includes source files and compiled class files, sleeps the thread *as to bypass mxAntiPVPCheat* If you link to the site you download from, I will take it down.

    Thank you

Check out our PM page here: http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/factions-iconomy-mcmmo-mobarena-mobdrops-linkcraft/ We'll give you minor player benefits for recommending it/ favouriting it.

We are currently running the latest stable build of Bukkit! In addition to this, we have our old world alongside our 1.8 world so you aren't missing out on anything. Nifty :biggrin.gif:

A long awaited system of player recognition in terms of PVP experience is the new colored name/[TAGS] system, which debuts in 1.8!

2,000 + PVP Kills Coloured [TAG] of your choice <3
1,000 PVP Kills [TAG] of your choice, directly behind your name :tongue.gif:
750 PVP Kills [PRO] Tag :3
500 PVP Colour of your choice :wink.gif:
250 PVP Kills Blood red name :biggrin.gif:

LinkCraft can be described as a fairly new faction wars server, with a great staff and an excellent mix of plugins to make for said experience. As well as accommodating for players interested in PVP activities, we also cater for those who like to build as well. Factions alone is a solid player controlled anti grief plugin and in addition to this, a freebuild world with plots protected by worldguard you can claim without assistance! Nothing player made is spawned here, even in the freebuild world; sweat off your brow makes for a rewarding minecraft experience! :biggrin.gif:

The plugins we run include but are not limited to:

    Factions
    iConomy
    MobArena
    mcMMO
    iConomyChestShop
    LogOres
    noCheat
    mxantiPVPCheat
    Multiverse
    ZeldaChickens
    HeroSneak
    ...and many more! :biggrin.gif:

Since we are relatively new, the world is full of resource and nobody has insane amounts of diamonds to beat you with. PVP is the main theme and success story behind our server, so as a result it is enabled everywhere besides spawn. As a result of this, griefing and raiding are allowed and there are no chest locking plugins. Both our staff and community are friendly and we are pleased to say they do not abuse their powers. Manyn of our plugins reward our players for their hard work, an example being a popular RPG plugin called mcMMO, which allows you to level up and receive new skills, without indeed interfering too much with the minecraft formula.

    Our staff consist of:
    ~ milkychipz
    ~ Hero_Of_Ages
    ~ Reeder

Keep a look out for them if you need help in the game, but also keep in mind that while we are here to help, some of us would like to have fun too! We won't come at you with god mode, but we will play regularly as we want to enjoy what our server has to offer too!

We run our server on a GBIT Line hosted in France, and while it is hosted far from home we place our pride in being an Australian server. The specifications to the server consist of 2GB of RAM with 32 players, hosted on a high quality line in France. Donations are much appreciated although unnecessary; you won't be dogged for money. All money received from donations will be spent on maintaining the server and adding new slots as time passes.

Our only rules are compromised of:

~ No Hacking (That includes mods, unless confirmed by a staff member)
~ No Spamming (Spamming doesn't make you look cool, it will only get you a ban and some frowns.)
~ No Abusing Glitches (If you've found a glitch that allows you to open doors in others territory by right clicking with redstone, think again before using it to your advantage or the consequences can be quite severe.)

Other than that, everything goes :smile.gif: Enjoy

Server is ballsy and the staff are dicks. He bans for no apparent reason other than self witness and gets mad at a mod when they do the same. The host is **** and there is always lag even on my area 51 desktop and gbit interent connection. The owner claims to have 23+ players consatant when I log on with an alt and see 1-4 people who are newfags and don't even realize its a PVP server, since its turning into a creative server. Seriously, builders? Also, I got 1000 views for my server in 1-3 weeks when he got it over months.

Its going to die, I can assure you.
