    Unfortunately when you close the minecraft game itself it will reset it back to spring as it unloads the texturepack and the game instance. As far as I know, there isn't a way to keep track, if it was a mod: maybe. If you left Minecraft running as you go out to work, school, shopping or went to sleep and hopped back on it should continue off where the season last was.


    Temporary/minor solution: don't close MineCraft!


    Apologies that theres no real way to keep track of the seasons! But hope you're enjoying the seasons pack none the less and thankyou!

    First thing I noticed that'll help, regarding the white texturing within the leaf blocks, is because you are playing with 'fast' graphics settings, if you switch that to 'fancy' should change the white to transparent. (That is due to the color map being painted entirely white, it will fill in the transparent spaces within the leaf textures with the color of the color map)


    Regarding the better trees addon not working, try moving the BTA pack up one, so it is above the core 1.14 pack: refer to both pictures provided!

    Thankyou, adding that worked. Now looking back at the Minecraft wiki for Models, I can't believe i didn't catch the cullface section. My issue is I always think outside the box, when I should think inside. Thanks again.

    Attempted to rebuild the rocks, wanted to rotate each up facing side 90 degrees but won't, as it states that it can only go as high as 45. As well, tried the 45 degree angle, any bit of the face, even on a 45 degree angle that faces north,south, east or west, it gets shadowed.

    Created some 3d Rocks that spawn ontop of the grass block, and only when there isn't a block beside the grassblock is when there is no shadow.

    As soon as a solid block gets placed beside, it shades the sides of the rocks... would like some help to fix this.


    Heres the model json file: it acts as a second variant of the grass block so I can have a mix of the normal grass block and one with rocks ontop.

    As for adding it to the base game itself, it would definitely cause some issues, which is why mods are a thing. Orrrrrr perhaps a texture pack, cause how I felt is I really more felt the need of a change of scenery rather than the technical part of seasons. I didnt care for slower crop growing in winter or more rain in spring. The feeling of seeing the pretty fall colors was more important, the atmospheric feelings grabs your attention more imo. As winter approaches you get excited for the beautiful dusty snow falling on christmas day, buuuut then you walk outside and its cold, after a while the beauty dilutes and you look forward to the blossoming spring colors and warmth.... Then you want to go to the beach and get a tan amirite? But then theres no stopping the time when school season comes around and you get stuck in the sweater and longsleeves season, but all the school gloom gets washed away by the pretty red colors and orange and brown... then around and around and around it goes. So if you feel that you want more of the scenery, try looking for some texture pack ;)


    Or try and find a mod that supports full season technicalities.

    If you would like to change the times even longer, you would have to open each .png.mcmeta file and change the frametime to lets say 60000 which would roughly be 17 minecraft days. That goes for every .mcmeta file.... theres quite a few, I can do it myself and upload a 20 Minecraft Day version for you and even others to enjoy the realllllllllly long seasons, thats not an issue :)


    As goes for the Biomes O'Plenty mod, I have been slowly but surely making a supported version, that will also include seasonal changes too all of the plants included in the mod, this will take some time. The pack should work alongside it right now but keep in mind that since the color maps are completely blank white, the Biomes O'Plenty plants and trees wont have color/turn grey. One of my replies above with the "sneak peak" shows some progress towards the BoP plants. Can't promise a release date, but it'll come.

    Very excited to announce that with the news of 1.14 bringing Berry Bushes, Bamboo, hope another tree species for the Taiga biome like pine or fir, seasonal changes will come to these new plants, as well as for the future biomes that will include Palm Trees, Baobab Trees and maybe new flowers? or other types of grass or whatever plants. Can't wait until I can start working on new textures :)

    The other colors should be named "red_terracotta.png", "blue_terracotta.png", "orange_terracotta.png" and so on, theyre are in there, just the color comes first. Hope that clears that up. :)

    Currently updating and fixing things in my seasons pack to 1.13 and one thing I noticed is that the random textures I have for various blocks don't work anymore. Wondering if they changed the method to have randomized blocks. I've included pictures (we will use lily_pad as the example cause it only has 2 variants) If someone could point out a mistake on whether something needs to be changed or was changed. Help would be much appreciated in getting these random textures working in 1.13 :)
