I ran into the same issue, turns out that I only had the PlayerAPI sources and not Forge. I copied out the files:

The function modsLoaded() inside mod_AutoSwitch checks to see if ModLoader.class has a field of "fmlMarker", which checks if the user has ModLoader or ForgeModLoader installed. The problem in logic here is that you're assuming if a user has FML installed then they're running Forge, which isn't always the case. I would suggest changing it to check, for example, if the net.minecraftforge.common.MinecraftForge.class exists, because that is only in Forge and not in FML.
I've created a one-byte-changed hex-edited class file of mod_AutoSwitch which forces that function to always return false. While this is by no means a long-term fix, it allows me to use FML and AutoSwitch together with no issues. http://dropbox.meisk...utoSwitch.class
