    Area of Expertise in Game: As several of the preceding appliers, I enjoy redstone, mining and building. I'm not too much a fan of grinding, but I appreciate the wonders of non-modded vanilla, and its core products (which are redstone,mining and building to me.) Mining is nice and fun to me as I always like to explore a new mining shaft or loot a dungeon, so there's that.

    Description of your Altitude: Some might call me young being 15 (I guess there are younger), but I enjoy helping around in the community, whether it being with building, grinding, or even painful tasks such as collecting resources. I chat quite a lot and sometimes I tend to be annoying, but I think that everyone can make do with that. I like building, but I don't do anything too fancy (still I like redstone.) School is out for me this summer, and so with lots of time on my hands, I think I can focus more on building up a community than having to rush around and not get to meet everyone. Cheers to MC Realms Friendship :P.

    Reason for Applying after that Ridiculous Description: Every time I look the long server lists everyone sees, I never, and I mean never see a vanilla server. On the off chance that I do, there is always some griefer or jack@ss thats likes to screw everyone over. I want to start fresh and new, start a community, and get things going the way that Minecraft is supposed to be. Sometimes I can get secluded, especially on those big servers, but I think that on a realm where everyone is at least a decent person, we can forge something new, and better than that.

    I would like to be a builder or a graphical artist, they both sound good for me, as I like detailed projects and work and artwork. I would like to help and could maybe advertise it a small bit, as it seems you are having a bit less attention as this project seems it should.

    About 2 or 3 months ago I started to suddenly enjoy Star Wars some more, and I would enjoy doing something that revolves around Star Wars in Minecraft, where I can remember all the interesting things about Star Wars :)

    I think you people are restructuring the original post. XYCraft is mediocre, but saying the technical mods are bad and too complex is an understatement of the dumbest. The point of the mod is to be complex, so that you will have something to do when you think you are finished. If you don't want Buildcraft and RedPower, then what do you want . . . BarbieCraft with Ponies?!? I honestly think that these modern mods, are quite good and useful for the people who have bigger minds than someone *cough cough* Jukakun Ahem ahem *cough cough*. I do agree that you should push yourself out of the limits of ores and trees and armor and etc. but Buildcraft, IndustrialCraft, and RedPower all meet those criteria. I highly would beg to differ with your statement.

I don't really care what mods I review, weather they are big or small, and please, if you like a mod, request it to be reviewed.     #1 Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders

    Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders is a mod that adds realistic shadowing physics into the game. It adds a nice aesthetic effect and it greatly differs from minecraft's original shadows, which are just light gray oval circles beneath mobs. Not only does it shade the shadows of mobs, but it also does the same for blocks, and it is so realistic, that it places the shadows relative to the sun. Although I may think that this has no practical purpose, it is good for the player that likes new touches to their world. I'd recommend this mod to anyone that is starting a new world, because then you can get used to it over time more easily.

    #2 Single Player Commands (SPC)

    Single Player Commands is useful to anyone, whether it be cheaters, :) , or map makers, or just a normal player that wants to make inhabiting their world easier. Single Player Commands include more colors when typing in the commands, and the variables are written in light blue. I, as map making as something I do as a hobby, or for fun, like this because it makes entering commands much more pretty, adds many new commands, even small things like binding keyboard keys to commands, or toggling hardcore on or off in a world. My favorite part about the mod is that it features the amazing mod, WorldEdit, which allows you to use brushes to terraform, or construct interesting structures at relative ease. It can make things such as filling in a giant roof happen in six seconds, or making a good looking mountain happen in six minutes!     #3 iChun's Portal Gun Mod

    This is an old, and new I suppose, favorite mod of mine. It allows portal to enter the vast realm of minecraft, and portal and portal 2 are great games. Its portal gun is very realistic, allowing you to see through portals and use several, several different portal guns. From thermal discouragement beams to aerial faith plates and high energy pellet catchers. This mod adds a lot, if not most of the stuff from portal and portal 2 you need to make an exact replication of portal with a texture pack. This mod, thanks to iChun, with no doubt is amazing.     FlowerCraft Mod Idea - Looking for Coders and People who want to help!

    Introduction

    Greetings, to my first official post of mine. I'm not exactly the type of really popular person such as risugami, who made modloader, and I do not plan to be from this post. I just want to make a mod that uses flowers as a resourceful, important, and aesthetic detail to the game. Although, what I do want to do is to successfully lead, and further create a mod that turns out to get at least some attention. But, unfortunately as I figured out on my own (insert sad face) is that I do not know code, and although there is a mod creator GUI called MCreator, it does not fit my needs, and therefore I will need a coder's, and other people's help to create it. I don't plan to get eleven people working in on the same time, as I find that irritating, but I would like to get a few more people who know java well (unlike me,) and others who would just want to help. I've only talked to my friend, Jchimal, about it, so this is the first time I'm releasing the idea into the public.Hoping you can help if you are in a position to!

    Summary/Explanation

    FlowerCraft will contain many flowers (up and over to at least 70) hence its name. Unlike this mod's predecessors, who held the name FlowerCraft as well, used the flowers that were added for aesthetic detail, or to use them to craft aesthetic blocks. This type of FlowerCraft will use the mod's flowers for practical purposes, such as food items, or types of flower oils that can be used as fuels in furnaces. Some of the flowers will be used for new hues of dyes, as dark pink, or very light purple. Some mobs and flower events will happen, such as Venus Fly Traps biting you and lowering your health, and if you come in contact with a poisonous flower you will get the poison effect, as well as your health initially getting lowered. You will be able to burn flowers into their flower pedals, and in turn craft the pedals into acids that can make fluorescent lights of different colors. On the contrary of poisonous flowers, there will be flowers that grant healing effects to the players. There will be new Terrarium items that you can put fragile rare flowers in to keep them strong and/or upgrade them. It will also add new flower tools and armor, some worse than wooden, some better than diamond. We may add new ores that act as crafting materials for some of the items. We may add sunscreen that acts as an oily protective barrier on people. We will add new biomes, such as Flower Fields, which will contain Big Flowers (counterpart to Big Mushroom), and new structures, such as Gardener Houses and flowers growing in Villager Gardens next to people's houses in NPC Villages.

    I made a sword item map and put my obsidian sword texture in it. Instead of loading the sword map, it loads the gui/items/ map and the swords mechanics still work, but it is textured as a leather cap, please help!!

    Well did you make your own sprite map yet? and when adding your own textured item just go to the main menu. Move mouse to right, click on new item. Then on the top of that window there is load file or load texture button. Click that then it should come up. Then you just choose a sprite map to save it too.

    Thankyou for trying, but I did all those things before and it used the original items.png still. Lets say I took my map, named "sword.png", and used the grid coordinates x=4, y=6 for a sword. Whatever the coordinates on 4.6 of the original items.png, it uses that item instead.Im not sure why this happens, but its a bug, and if you have any other means of going at this bug, your welcome to try it :).

    It works fine when making a custom block, it uses my custom png and everything. Even items. It's just tools for some reason uses the items.png instead.


    This is exactly my problem!!! Someone, please help.
