I usually hate realistic packs, but I must say, this is amazing. The problem most realistic packs is that it just looks really awkward, but you've done a great job of making the textures fit the Minecraft style.
My brother crafted his first hell portal and went to the Nether. He did his business and went back to the overworld THROUGH THE SAME PORTAL. He found himself in some random cave with a portal with no path to the outside world. He had to dig his way through 5 stacks of stone WITH HE BARE HANDS. And when he reached the surface, he had to walk quite a distance.
So I need to find this minecraft.jar in order to install the painterly texture pack because they took the ModInstaller off their page for some reason. The only problem is, I CAN'T FIND IT. Yes, I googled how to find it, but it's never where it's supposed to be. I have Vista, btw. So if you could help, that would be great.
This is just plain awesome. Thank you so much for finding this. Now someone can make a biome mod and everyone can shut up about biomes being "too small" or "ugly".
1. The only thing that he promised that didn't get done was the torch -> lantern change. Everything else that he promised happened.
2. The last update was to stop people from losing everything in their inventory upon dying which is MUCH more important than your town square. You should have made a save backup.
3. Everyone still plays single player. And I'd say that the majority of people don't care about Multiplayer at all.
