I don't like how MasterDiety simply took my name out of all the credit, copyright, and ideas/authors sections...As if I never worked at all on this project, while he's the one that abandoned it.
I know this might already be too much to ask for but can you please try not to change too many id's like last time, that was incredibly annoying. P.S. do yoy plan on making it so you can charge the bows? I would luv that sooo much! Like with toph, you could fully charge and it would give a super zoom and a shot that is ultra-fast and powerful! I dunno, just an idea... :/
P.S. I have dug up 14 tophinite and only need 10 more to get a full set of armor! (Now try killin' me creepers!)
I am on his case on this aswell, as we play on a server with the mods all the time, and it took so long to fix everything, aswell as having to move to another area for mining the ores. Hopefully he won't have to :tongue.gif:

I absolutely love Better Tools. It is one of the better modifications. However, I have some suggestions.
Wood is to wooden plank, as stone is to stone. When you upgrade a tool, you use a more compact version of what you use to make the tool. For example, to upgrade a wooden tool, you use wood instead of wooden planks. I like how you continued to follow this method of using items to upgrade tools into the iron, gold and diamond tiers.
Although I like the method you are using to upgrade tools, I think that since the iron, gold and diamond tools are so strong already that they should be a bit harder to upgrade. Getting a piece of wood is easy enough, and upgrading a wooden tool will improve the tool a bit, but will not change the fact that it's a lower tier tool. Getting stone is a bit harder than getting a piece of wood, since you have to smelt it after getting many pieces of cobblestone to make a furnace, and obtaining some coal to power that furnace. Iron, gold, and diamond tools should be upgraded with their corresponding storage blocks; iron block, gold block, and diamond block, respectively. This way the upgrade takes time and you get a nice feeling of accomplishment after you obtain an upgraded iron, gold, or diamond tool. Smelting the iron, gold, or diamond isn't enough for upgrading a tool. In addition, once you smelt the iron, gold, or diamond, you can't revert the change.
Please take this idea into consideration. I believe it would make the modification a lot more enjoyable.

For instance: if a reinforced iron pickaxe takes 3 iron blocks, that would be 27 iron, which you could make 9 regular iron pickaxes from. 9 regular pickaxes > 1 reinforced one for pretty much all of them... Probably some sort of variant, maybe 1 block in the middle of 2 tempered metals or 2 hardened diamonds. We'll see!
I've tried many times but I couldn't make it work. I have installed other mods with no problem, so I have some knowledge. But I think I've failed at some point. I've digged for ages and never found a new ore. Is there any way to verify installation? :smile.gif: thank you.
To verify installation, I recommend either: Installing X-ray Mod and looking around with that for any of the ores, or: Toomanyitems and see if any of the ores, items, blocks, etc. show up there. Note that the ores will not spawn in chunks that were already generated before you installed the mod. Hope this helps!
what the heck, hardened diamond???? why would u need such a thing???? if u had 3 extra diamonds, u could just make another diamond pick, instead of wasting fuel to make hardened diamonds

Whoa...So currently Better Tools SMP is bugged, and whenever you try to craft a reinforced stone pickaxe, it turns into fire, and minecraft crashes...... MasterDeity is going to fix this soon though, Give him a bit :biggrin.gif:

Uhm, Isn't that false? Last I checked, only gold gets double, and NONE of them get double speed? I mean, unless you updated it today again...
