while looking for a good smp server I noticed something. 80% of the servers on that page have a whitelist. I found it annoying how I had to check EVERY thread for a public server (considering some of the threads titles don't have "whitelist" in them) so why not make 2 subforums to separate the whitelisted servers from the public ones?
it could go forums > smp servers > public, whitelisted, seeking and offering.
I got fed up with my new world I started after the halloween update; I mined for four hours, and found 128 iron, 500+ coal, 30+ gold...and 2 diamonds. Stupid diamonds. So I thought of this idea, it works. It's cheap. Also, don't try to make a burning hellstone path into the gate, or this'll happen:
walk around and get loot from mobs/monsters.

I mean the guy who hosts our forum's smp server does a fine job at hosting 10+ people at once without all the donations.
And I'm trying to understand WHY they think that's "correct." They basically just shifted the hell world a few blocks to the right (changed the reference frame of the diagram away from the first portal).
My interest is pedagogical. I like to understand why certain illustrations work and why others don't, because I plan to work with that kind of thing someday. I already do a lot of visualizations for Wikipedia.

Double door system? Like an airlock? I have just the plan for that, and it doesn't even need redstone.
There's also pressure pads on the other sides of the doors, so you don't even have to click anything.
You could improve this using iron doors and stone pressure pads. With the all-wooden system, you need 24 planks. 12 for the doors, 12 for the pads.
If you use stone buttons and iron doors, you'd need 12 iron ingots for the doors and 12 refined stones for the pads. uh...good luck on that.
