When your playing a new version of MC, always make a new Profile and Game Directory folders for that Profile. This will prevent conflicts and problems when trying to run multiple versions from the same folder.
New mods are copied/pasted into the mods folder under the .minecraft folder. When you make the Profile and add the API (in this case Fabric), play the world first before adding any other mods. The API will create the extra folders required, like the mods folder.
I recommend using a third party app like CurseForge or MultiMC to create and manage your MC Profiles, of whatever version you chose.
That line is a warning, not telling you you can't use what you typed. If what you want to use is offensive, the program will probably tell you after you click "Change Profile name."
Try using another browser to download the file. Opera might be changing the download file into another format, as the file is executable. The security settings might be changing or blocking the download.

Did it crash? Post the FULL crash report if it did. Thanks.
Something else to check: you certainly have enough RAM, but the hard drive also needs free space. Check the HD Minecraft is installed on. You might need to clean it up.
Dang, was hoping it was a more lightweight mod like OpenBlocks or Extra Utilities. :-/
Edit: I checked two Ars Magica wikis and found no reference to such a block. Please don't troll.
It's not a troll, the block is called a lectern and has the secondary function of displaying books for ease of access. http://am2.wikia.com/wiki/Lectern

That's just a generation error. The game placed the tree then placed the pond, cutting off the bottom of the tree.

This is the problem:
Problematic frame:
# C [atio6axx.dll+0x192b60]##
Check for graphic driver updates.

With a crash report in that format, look for these lines:
# Problematic frame:
# C [atio6axx.dll+0x196280]
The #C line gives the specific information. In your case, it identifies the AMD driver problem (ATI is AMD's graphics cards).
