The logical fallacy in the post is massive, and I am surprised that nobody has noticed it. It assumes that the increase of griefing due to hacks is equal to the creations from hacks.

Get OpenBSD. But really, Avira is good for anti-virus if you don't mind it bitching at you to buy. Also you need a firewall if you don't have a router. Due to remote exploits and such.

Servers are no problem(with the exception of those damm zombie processes). Just kill them with a shotgunkill -9
Use ps -A | grep "java" to get the pid.
