MIght be. I used the same seed for both, and moved out about 1000 blocks. In that time, with large biomes I only saw 2 Biomes. Jungle and Swamp. I sampled Forest, Plains, Jungle, Desert and Ocean in the original seed. Seed I used was SEED on both.

Oh, brilliant idea. I never thought of that. I was able to find the NEI one that I think is for 1.3.2. I am going to try the one prior to the one whose change log says "Updated to 1.4" :)

Unfortunately the change log for the WR only mentions an update to 1.2 and none for 1.3 or 1.4. And I can't seem to find a change log for Core. Might you have any idea of where I could find a ReadMe or change logs for either of those. I tried to do some searching on this thread or the forums and google but a lot of people use these mods and so it is a lot to dig through.

It is indeed. I didn't realize there wasn't a changelog for core. As I understand it, WR is dependent on RedPower 2, which hasn't updated either, so that's possibly why you can't find WR. There is another version of it:

    http://www.minecraft...s-redstone-v16/

It's much less expensive to craft with, but has less options as well. Older versions support 1.3.2 and even the current release if you so choose.

Also, looking at a few "How to Install" videos on youtube for 1.3.2 are showing that CCC 0.6.4 is compatible with NEI 1.4.0.4 and CCC 0.6.5 is compatible with NEI 1.4.0.5

Hello. Can someone please help me. I am a bit confused as to what to install.

I want to play with some of the mods that are only up to 1.3.2 minecraft and not yet 1.4.2 so I am using the older version. I went to the page in the link in the op for "Older Version" and I don't know what any of them are. I mean like I know what NEI and the Core one and the WR ones are, but I don't know what the numbers for each release means as far as working with either 1.4.2 or 1.3.2 or if they may even be for 1.2.5? All the numbers seem so different and I am completely at a loss to which ones to use.

Check the changelog for each mod you want to install. For instance, if you open the spoiler for NEI, and then the spoiler labeled changelog, you'll see that NEI ver. 1.4 is 1.3.2

I wish you would have never continued to update the ender stroage mod. You have made it completely useless by not only removing the default ender chest but also forcing it to only have a 3x3 storage size. This not only ruins the usefulness but also screws over servers. I will no long be using this sad excuse of what you would call a more "balanced" mod. I find that the default chest plus the updated backpack mod work better then this sadly updated garbage.

Useless? I've got nearly infinite storage space when I mine thanks to this mod. Set up a sorting system using Buildcraft 3, and use an enderchest as the inventory items are filtered from. Link an enderbag to the enderchest.

Mine ores -> Place in linked enderbag -> Items get pulled from Enderchest and filtered through Buildcraft Diamond Pipes

    TaDa!

    Hardly useless.

EDIT:: Makes a great replacement for Teleport Pipes too.

technically, i am using the forge ore dictionary, i set up BOD to take all the ores forge tries to generate. this is how BOD can now use metadata IDs. but i dont want BOD to be forge dependant, so i set it up as such

That's pretty cool. Thanks for the awesome mod. :D

Have you considered using forge for this interesting mod? Just imagine what could be accomplished with the forge ore dictionary...

Yes. Modified post above yours around the same time you posted this. See above. We're saying the same thing.

Oh damn you mean to tell me that Minecraft DOESN'T let you do what you want, roam the world as you please with no storyline or consequences, placing advanced redstone contraptions to create your own levels, weapons, machinary or others in the like? Well I've been playing the wrong game for sure!

WHAT are you GETTING at? I'm having trouble understanding what it is you're trying to say. SO, in the interest of peace, I'll clarify my previous post a little as it seems you may ALSO not fully understand what I'm getting at since it seems to me that we MIGHT be saying the same thing.

The CORE of the game has been, and still IS, Sandbox. That has NOT changed. Survival or Creative, you have the tools at your hands to change the world to suit your needs. IF you want a MORE sandboxy experience you could change to peaceful or play Creative.

Survival has it's own clear DEFINITION, that is, the lines are finally less blurry then they've been in the past as far as GAMEPLAY is concerned.

No... Do you know what sandbox is? LOL.

An open world is a type of video game level design where a player can roam freely through a virtual world and is given considerable freedom in choosing how or when to approach objectives.[1]

The term "free roam" is also used, as is "sandbox" and "free-roaming".[2][3] "Open world" and "free-roaming" suggest the absence of artificial barriers,[4] in contrast to the invisible walls and loading screens that are common in linear level designs. The term "sandbox" is often used incorrectly. Open world doesn't necessarily mean sandbox. A true "sandbox" is where the player has tools to modify the world themselves and create how they play.

Generally open world games still enforce some restrictions in the game environment, either due to absolute technical limitations or in-game limitations (such as locked areas) imposed by a game's linearity.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_world

How does minecraft not fit BOTH of these descriptions?

could it be that you don't understand the term very well yourself?

They've changed nothing to the core game. You want to play in a Sandbox? That's what Creative Mode is for. Survival is a different mechanic all together, and was intended to be from the start.

We are finally getting to a point where there is a clear definition between the two, but guess what, you can still do whatever you want in survival. Nothing's stopping you from climbing the highest mountain in the land and swan diving into a pool of lava if that's your preference. If you want a more Sandboxy "Survival", peaceful is an option.
