Please Help! I am dying to play pixelmon.

Assuming you are playing Pixelmon via the vanilla Minecraft Launcher (with Forge):
Edit your profile, and at the bottom where it says "Java Settings (Advanced)", Select the Java 8 executable.

So, it says that the "uninstall tool" only works for windows, so I chose "uninstalling java on Mac". After this it shows me a little menu, so clicked on "How do I uninstall Java from my Mac?" It tells me to open the terminal and put a code, but it doesn't work (I don't know a lot about this stuff) and that it requires a password. So I got back to the menu and chose "How do I update java on my Mac?", but I am already in the last version.

    Do you have any ideas?

Or you know what did I do wrong?

    Please help

Do you have administrator privileges on the computer you are using?

    From an Apple employee:

If you wish to rid your machine of Java SE 6, the correct procedure is:

Remove the "system" JVM installed and maintained by Software Update
    % sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk

    Remove any Java Developer Previews
    % sudo rm -rf /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0*.jdk

Do NOT remove any content in the JavaVM.framework. Those items are required by Java 7, 8, 9+ as well as Java SE 6. No modern version of OS X has a Java JDK inside there anyway.

Has there been a change to the complementary Curse Premium given to content authors? I have seemed to lost mine today. Where can I contact Curse about this?

posted a message on 1.11 bug - light and slabs
    Quote from micahlg»

Thanks for the link. I wasn't sure if someone had reported it or not.

But this was completely vanilla -- unless you count Optifine and sonicether's sound physics as mods that modify lighting.

Nevertheless, if you report a bug to the bug tracker, it must be recorded in vanilla Minecraft with no mods at all. I mistakenly reported something with Forge and a moderator notified me about it.

This should pretty much explain itself.

If not, let me explain. If you have a slab on top of a block, the light level is 0 even when it is lit. If you have a slab on the top half of a block, the light level is normal. If you have a slab on the ground, the light level is zero even when lit.

I'm closing this as working as intended: When you are standing on stairs/slabs like this, you are inside the 1x1x1 block boundary. Light level inside blocks is 0, so it should display 0.

A moderator has closed the issue because it is an intended feature. And as a future notice, only report bugs whilst playing vanilla Minecraft.

posted a message on Completely new terrain generation.
    Quote from ItsGoodzgaming»

I think that throughout a lot of the past Minecraft updates, an major overhaul of how terrain generation has not occurred, I think we deserve new terrain generation, because the current one is old and predictable, I believe we need more realistic and less predictable terrain in which will give you major challenges within the game, with that there could be certain effects to biomes, such as in deserts you will slow down to dehydration, in the tundra and ice biomes your health will go down if your out in the snow too long ect,

You're introducing biome specific effects, such as desert dehydration and cold biome health reduction, rather than discussing new terrain generation. I'd focus on one topic here and go into more detail.

Decided to switch over to vanilla textures to try out the 1.11 update and stumbled upon this. Anyone know why some of the edges of farmland have a highlight? It makes weird grids in the texture.

I saw your pack from your signature on another post and decided to check it out.
    Some critique:

Single placed iron bars are hard to see, probably a model issue though.
Gravel has a noticeable tiling on it.
The water animation has 4 pixels that appear giving it a grid, other than that it's pretty static.
The wool textures almost look like a single shade of colour.
The pumpkins appear to be machined? May look out of place in nature or when grown. -Edit- I assume it has to do with the iron golem.
I agree with previous comments, the stone is out of place when next to the very noiseless dirt, very high contrast and has a repeating pattern.

    What I like/love:
    Animated ores
The discolouration in the hay block
    All the item textures
    The GUI
    Bookshelf
