I do believe I have the lastest driver... I sent my dxdiag there also... Another information about this, I have tested the shader mod with several driver versions before. I believe I'm using a beta driver now because the last driver had a problem with the HDMI sound output. I'll run another update, thoug I don't think this will solve for me since there is more than one machine with the same problem.

As I said before, my brother's computer is quite strong and he gets 1 fps even with no shaders.

I can play FTB with 50 - 60 fps, I was hoping to test shaders to try to find a light weight one that I can run.

I run some more tests here and I'll report back soon.

Hey! Thanks for the attention... most people just ignore this. It is true, I can't run the mod, even with no shaders installed. Just the mod alone drops my fps to 1 (even in the menu). My bother's computer, and my friends (both amd) also have the exact same problem. I'll send my dx diag and my brother's. I'm running an instance of FTB Infinity Evolved with 3,75GB ram (I know its odd but is good for me). Also, I have exagerated my machine capabilities (to get attention) I can't run 200+, I can run about 100, my brother can do 200+ my friend also.

    My DxDiag: http://pastebin.com/63ehEufS

    My brother's: http://pastebin.com/pxQ34dnC

No forced settings on either catalyst.

I'm running and older card 5770 (I hoped for running a light shader).

My brother has a HD7970 (he is aiming for sonic esthers).

JVM arguments are FTB standart ones (they only change memory, java 8 doesn't support changing the static allocation heap anymore).

If you need more information, I'll answer here, but faster in my email: [email protected]

    Mind reading the description carefully?

It's not "compatible UP TO 14.9". It's "compatible with 14.9". This is because over a year ago older versions were not compatible with Catalyst 14.9 or newer.

The other issue is that there are bugs in AMD drivers newer then 14.9 that cause some issues, like the transparent hand glitch.

There's no know fix for that if you're using a card that requires a newer driver (ergo: the 300 series needs 15.2 beta minimum). Just hope AMD fixes this eventually. There are some unconfirmed reports various beta drivers fix this temporarily for specific card models.

Shader mod works just fine with 15.11.1 Crimson Edition (baring rendering glitches). Any FPS issues are on your side.

Nope. Fps issues are related to AMD cards. Definitely. Me, my brother and a friend, 3 machines all capable of runing 200+ fps. All with AMD cards and all with 1 fps in the menu even with no shader selected. No, this mod doesn't work with AMD, or at least have some serious issues with it. If the dev want to look into this, I'm also a java dev so contact me in my email so that I can provide more information.

I'm not following the post but I'd like to make a suggestion too. I'm really sorry if someone already made it and I ask you guys to be polite if that is the case and just ignore it.
The idea is to add some expensive staffs that can combine with some of the old stones and cristals and can do some special abilities like conjuring stuff. An earth staff could have an interface to convert vis into a special ability like flattening an area or rising an entire hill. That would take time to cast and a lot of magical resources. Just an idea to make Arcanacraft closer to magic. Anyway, great mod!

None of you got the point at all. This post is talking about creating a 3d world generator, not about how much time I've played or if the lateral infinity is good enough.
I know gold is a soft metal but its value is because of its rareness not usefulness.
I'm not going to talk about iron.
I'm not going to post anything more here, I'm posting suggestions on moderator now.

Well, today exploring i have found the end of the "infinite" Minecraft Alpha map gen. Apparently when you dig too deep, beyound the lava layer, you will find an unbreakable block( :opblock: ) surface making impossible any atempt to go even further into the "deepness"... What im suggesting is tho improve the Z layer generation on the map gen so that we can go higher or deeper. In the high skies maybe gen some floating dirt lands and deep underground some large huge rooms with lots of lava( :Lava: ) , water( :Water: ), monsters( :Notch: ) and rare minerals( :Diamond: ) ...VERY DEEP...

Here is a pic of the END OF THE WORLD:

Also, it would be AWESOME to have more minerals between stone and iron allowing more options of tool crafting. What i mean to say is that iron ore is too rare and stone is too common, we need other ores not so rare in between this two.

Finally, give some utility to gold like crafting better stuff with it or coin crafting for multiplayer...idk.

Thanks who read everything up to here and thanks :iapprove: for the awesomeness of infinite fun.

I might also have to implement limited size levels again (coming sooner or later anyway) because infinite map servers will use huuge amounts of ram if the players all scatter. If the map is limited, it will never use more ram than the size of the level.

I'm here just to say that infinite maps are the most awesome game experience that i ever had... Don't take this away in multi-player please! I know the problems infinite maps would cause but there is this game ARMA II in witch the new version (Operation Arrow Head) has infinite maps and the graphics are WAY heavier than minecraft's.
Imagine this 4 friends playing on a server... they would basically explore together and build the same areas, one as a farmer, other as a miner.... stuff like this.
Notch could use some logic to block scattered explorations or even make a limited version for public servers and a infinite version for private servers ("friends play mode"). :smile.gif:

[iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron] [iron]

INFINITE FUN! DON'T TAKE THIS AWAY!
