I am running OSX Lion. I restarted my minecraft and got rid of all my mods. I installed it but I wont work so then I tried modloader but still nothing happens. How can I fix this?
Delete your /bin/ directory in /minecraft/, then restart it from the launcher, redownloading everything. Install MCPatcher and install your mods anew.
So this has never been answered in the thread so far: are mountains higher than 128 blocks planned? I've been playing with the world gen editor Wedge and making some pretty amazing stuff. Mountains up to 256 blocks actually look retarded, but up to 180 blocks they're pretty amazing. The only problem with Wedge is it pretty much makes your whole world insane, when what would be nice is just a biome region of massive mountains, not the whole world. And if trees or dungeons or mineshafts don't generate above 128 blocks it doesn't matter! Nobody expects those things way up in the mountains anyway.
This is great. :biggrin.gif: But I use MCPatcher for detecting mod conflicts too, not just for HD textures. Will this be included in Optifine?
Use Block ID resolver, it makes all your conflicts go byebye. I seriously have equivalent exchange, fossils mod, thaumcraft, buildcraft, industrialcraft, twilight forest, pam's foods, mo' creatures, and a whole **** ton of other mods all running together right now, with optifine. It's GREAT.
Is it weird that I go to the twilight forest exclusively to rape it for resources? I feel like those horrible humans in Avatar.
Is there a way to wipe my Twilight Forest map so I can go to a new one next time I enter the portal? I've seriously messed it up hardcore. I used to run Fossils mod and I enjoyed the easy access to fresh chunks containing tons of fossils. Now I run Industrialcraft as well, and strange **** is going on. When I enter the Twilight Forest I just hear explosions - everywhere. Constantly. And the framerate grinds to a halt, well below one frame per second. I have to go back to the main world as soon as I can, but I can't find the source of the explosions.
In my saves folder for this world there are four subfolders:
DATA
DIM-1
DIM 7
REGION
Are any of these specific to Twilight forest, such that deleting it would let me start a new twilight forest world?
Any solution yet to chunk holes appearing with advanced openGL on? No chunkholes with it off. Also, no chunk holes with it on while using vanilla, no optifine.
Also, is it possible for clear water to have levels of clarity? With it on there's no difference in view distance while underwater.
Is it possible to make the thaumic duplicator more useful? IE: Maybe have it duplicate items for only 1.5 or twice their thaum cost, five times is pretty much prohibitive, I never use it. :sad.gif:
besides using MCPatcher? but seriously, try installing all the mods without MCPatcher, and see if the problem persists, Optifine and MCPatcher do not get along very well
Seriously? I've always used MCPatcher and Optifine always works. I run a TON of mods. Trick is, always make sure Optifine is the LAST mod to load, that way it has "priority" in a sense. Crashes aren't always attributed to Optifine unless they change the rendering or visuals. Install ID Conflict Resolver if the game won't run as well, and load it second-to-last from Optifine.
I'm still trying to figure out why some random things are missing from Thaumcraft. Arcane tools and fabric, for example, do not exist for me in the game.
I'm using ID Resolver to make it work with other mods, but I have plenty of block IDs free. Where are arcane tools, fabric, stabilized singularity, and portable hole? Can I just add them in?

Your dropbox is over its bandwidth limits! Does anybody have a mirror?
Also, does this biome mod take advantage of the new world height? I would kill for some taller mountains!

Or, conversely, why isn't this incorporated into vanilla Minecraft yet?
sp614x should have been hired by Mojang long ago.

chunkholes? Man I get tons of those. Turn advanced openGL off and that solves it for me.

Here's my thaumcraft config file:
