    1. Stop even attempting to run 3D games on portable devices, it just DOES NOT WORK

Actually, i have quite a few 3D games running on my Desire already. One of them is , which actually looks very good. So yeah, i think it can be done quite well.

No way in hell can any current Smartphone play Minecraft. Not even the DellMoble coming out this year can do it, with the RAM it has, and maybe the CPU is a bit too slow for Minecraft.

You insulting my fabulous Snapdragon CPU there?! T'is filled with a 1000 hertzes of deliciousness, so Minecraft should love it. Make love to it. Or perhaps not. Disregard that.

I just got my HTC Desire the other week and am looking forward to any kind of progress towards a Minecraft Android build. Theoretically it should be possible, and even the controls can be dealt with in a good manner.

I'm sensing trolling, and photoshop/fake picture.

The photo is indeed from yearbookyourself.com, where one can, well, quite literally yearbook him- or herself. Apart from that there's little to no trolling. What made you think that?

I'm Michiel, 25 year old art school student from Hilversum, the Netherlands. I have a beard. I'm a musician. I usually hang around watching British shows (QI, NMTB, River Cottage series, the lot) like a mad person whilst slobbering red wine. That's right, red wine. I'm very much in touch with my feminine side. Except for my beard. I keep two badgers, Jamie and Gordon, which i plan to eat at easter.

I discovered Minecraft quite some time ago, got hooked, and purchased it after two days intense MINAN, BUILDAN and MOAR MINAN. Furthermore i'm a supporter of indie games, and except for my not-too-hefty Nintendo collection i've not bothered with srs gaems in years.

To illustrate the madness, here's a photo:

haven't seen a thread on this so far, so let's get this going. i get a Fatal Error (5): null when trying to run Minecraft under OS X 10.5.7, using Camino. oddly enough, Safari doesn't produce the same error.

if there's already a topic on this, feel free to delete it.

    edit: reboot fixed it.

i must say i quite support the anti-griefing prisons, as long as OPs are fair. i've so far gotten into every game with a short talk about rules and policy. i'm a patient and constructive player, and this system - if used fair - works quite well, imho.

in all fairness, i'm playing it on my iMac and MacBook, and indeed it's around 30 fps with double fog - which i prefer anyway.

it's broken atm, but i'm counting on a solution in some time. i bought the game, i expect it'll get there.

i can't find that file, oddly enough. i've checked all library and application support folders, and tried to fiddle with the Java Preferences app.
