I see what you mean with mod optimization and combat being too easy, I agree with you there. I also understand how disheartening it must be to hear the same rebuttle to an argument especially when you dont agree with it, but im sorry to tell you that the unfinished features are a result of an unfinished game.
That is what minecraft is at this moment. Its not an excuse, and unless you are a game designer you really cant weigh in on how it is supposed to be developed. I wouldnt be surprised if alot of games are designed this way simply because different departments work on different things, there is no way for them to all be in the same stage of development for their particular part of the game. There are six people coding for this game, all probably assigned different tasks.
Back in the day the updates had more coherency, because ONE person was working on the game. Also both games you compared minecraft to were both completed and ready to ship, and I doubt you were around for the development process of those games. You cant compare an unfinished project to one that has been completed. And to address the OP-ness of something, many many many multiplayer and singleplayer games release patches after the fact to nerf or buff something.I agree with you on wolves though.
YES. But I also support not ever leveling up your character. I play minecraft to gather materials and better my situation, not to better myself.
Well, at this point you never really better yourself. With enchantments all you can really do is better your tools, which is still essentially only bettering your situation.
Try doing this with endermen. I run fog on all the time and for some reason i can see spiders as well as enderman through the fog when they are far away.
Are wolves perfect the way they are now, or do you think they're underpowered. Personally wolves are barely good enough to go monster grinding at night with, let alone caves. Id kind of like a right hand man to delve into the depths with. Maybe you could spend your XP on beefing up your wolf, or let it gain XP itself. Not sure of the best way to go about this, but Id love to have a reliable companion. Any suggestions, feedback?
ive never found a ravine with diamonds on the walls, theres always a branching cave that i have to go through first. that being said, i like that ravines uncover hidden caves, otherwise i would not have known they existed.
could someone tell me if the runes that you see in the enchanting table actually mean anything? i know its technically an actual language that you can translate but is that just gibberish?

fences acted like blocks that were slightly taller than 3 meters. like window panes you can now actually touch the fence post.
