The series stopped being good after he got killed off. That was the dumbest decision the writers could have made, and they made it.

I agree. But i kept watching anyway.

Am i the only one who got a bit sad when light got busted in the end?

Warn statuses go away after 30 days with no offense. So take your latest warn and add thirty days, and that's when it will go away. Be careful though, if you get another warn, it will reset. Good luck.

Okay, thanks, i can barely see mine :smile.gif:

The cards cooling is programed to attempt holding about 80 degrees to give a good cooling/noise ratio so it's no problem at all. Just make sure it doesn't get over 90 degrees as mentioned by _j03_ and you're golden.

What PSU do you have? It's probably not the problem, but just for ruling it out.

As for the lack of performance you could download 3Dmark11 or similar benchmark program to check if your computer is under performing i guess.

You also said you have overclocked your CPU, did you raise the vcore, and if so, how much? And how long have you been having the overclock?

Does the black screens ever happen outside of BF3/MW3/MW2?

Yes, it happens in other games too, like css, and games like that. But it does not happen in Legue of Legends, Minecraft, Terraria etc...

Meh, if it would be over 90C it might be overheating but tose temps should be fine. Though you should see what the peak temps are, you need some sort of program that logs the temps from a hours of running and then examine if the temps sometimes go very high. That might cause the random picture tearing etc.

But can it be a bottleneck?

That sounds suspeciously low for a 6970, it should hit 80 or so on load if it's the stock cooler, and even with custom cooler 55 is still incredibly low. Do the fan on your 6970 ramp up at all when you start games?

My 6970 has 3 fans Picture And it's true, i really never get more than 60 C...
And my core gets 50-65 C...
EDIT: Just checked, played bf3 maxed out for 20 min, my gpu got up to 70-80 C... So overheating may be my problem?

DO NOT get that processor. It's waste of money, bulldozers are not good for anything. You're much better of buying a better performing Phenom II.

And your issue sounds clearly like an overheating problem with the GPU. You have graphical errors after 20-60min so that's pretty obvious then. You should try to improve your case ventilation by any means necessary.

To confirm this, download program called speedfan and watch what kind of temperature is the gpu after one hour game play of BF3.

I'm pretty sure it's not a overheating problem i'm at 40-55 C. All the time.

You might have a cpu bottleneck, that is a high-end card and a mid range cpu. I would suggest getting a phenom ii x4 970 which is 3.5ghz (I have this one, chews through bf3), and also cleaning out your system. Take off the side and blast it with an air compressor, clean out all dusk that may be slowing fans down and causing overheating.

Yeah, ive been thinking about that, so because my video card is high end, and my cpu is bad (2,6ghz) It may be the bad cpu that's causing the problem? And yeah, ive been thinking about this cpu. Is it good? may it fix the problem? And to be more specific about what my problem is: When i'm playing games like for example Bf3, Mw3, Mw2, and so forth, this is what happens after a period of time, like 20-60 min: My screen gets black, or sometimes, stripes, like lines coming down. I know this is what happens if you overclock to much, but that's not the problem, because ive tried to turn of the overclock completely, but that did not help. And i begin to hear a weird noise, like a loudspeaker that is having some problems. And then, i have no other choice but to restart my computer, and this is bugging me the hell of...
Thanks for all of you that is trying to help me, i really appreciate :smile.gif:

The cpu is clearly bottlenecking the gpu a bit, but it still shouldn't be that bad. More info would be helpful...

Do you have both 6-pin extra power connectors connected to the 6970? And can you give the specific model of your PSU?

How can i find out how many pins i have connected?
And my PSU is: Chieftec 650W. Model No: CTB-650S

I would have been so greatfull if someone can solve this problem for me, this is my biggest problem right now. I absolutely hate that i just bought this card and can't play...

    Thanks forum.

    1. go to AMD's website
    2. Find your model (in this case, 6970)
    3. Go to drivers section
    4. Click download
    5. Install
    6. ???
    7. PROFIT

I updated my drivers but it didnt help... anyone know how to fix this horrible problem??

    Failure.

There are many different AMD CPUs and GPUs. Saying you have "AMD core, ATI graphics" does not give you the exact same system.

Intel is better than AMD at higher budgets, yes, but Nvidia and AMD (AMD bought ATI a while back) trade blows for GPUs depending on the budget.

OP, it sounds like it may be a driver problem. Update those.

How can i update the correct drivers?

Okay, so heres my specs (Some of them)

    CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 910 (2,6ghz)
    RAM: 8gb
VIDEO CARD: ATI Radeon HD 6970 (2.0gb)

My question is, i cant run all games very smooth, is that my cpu's fault? Because i think i have a pretty sucky cpu...
And another question i have is, sometimes, when i play games, my screen gets black, and ill have to restart my computer. This has happened since i got a new video card, but i have enough power supply, so thats not the reason.

    Thanks! :smile.gif:
