I think a good idea would be to have an NPC that can place and remove signs displaying the towns name as the town grows and also if he walked around putting torches on the trees the really defined the "border" would be great since they cause no obstructions and prevent monsters from getting into the town. In fact in adventure mode they should make a quest where the "Border Patrolman" went missing before finishing the town's new border leaving the town vulnerable to attack and your mission is to finish the town border during the night the quest is cued and fight off any invading monsters.
Okay so I'm guessing everyone has seen the posts Notch has made about that one vid on Youtube that supposedly could render an object with "unlimited detail". I personally believe that the entire video was a load of bull and was up until 2 a.m. ET arguing with people on the channel about whether or not it was actually possible to run a game with that sort of graphics engine. Now I know that Notch had spoken his mind about the whole ordeal and wanted to unleash this upon the Minecraft Forum to see waht you, the users of Minecraft think. If you haven't seen this video yet a link will be at the end of this post. If people do begin to post on this topic please only intelligent arguments. It was filthier than a monkey house at the zoo last night.
My guess is that you can't make any computer that runs past the actual amount of memory that Minecraft runs on so it would be highly impossible to make a fully functioning computer. One thing that I think would be very interesting though is having something like a TV in Minecraft. I've seen 3d printers (in game) and what is possible with pistons. So why not incorporate the different colors of wool and thousands of pistons to make a giant functioning TV that could play small clips. This would incorporate something like the Piston Rubix Cube the 3d Printer and Redstone memory.
Hey guys ive wanted to do this for like forever now T_T but ill pick 2-3 other people and use the application below please IGN:
Skype:(yes)(no)

Why should i pick you:
Skype: Nope
Mic: Yes, Headset
Age: 14
Why You Should Pick me: I have a deep voice, I'm not annoying, I know a lot about Redstone Circuitry, and I'm a professional when it comes to comic relief. If you want I'll run blindly through pitch black caverns to avert the attention of monsters while you mine, yes I am a bit suicidal.
What if there was a block with a somewhat high blast resistance that wasn't easy to mine or to blow up? Kinda like obsidian but slightly easier to mine, could be blown up with some extra power, and can be pushed by pistons. Maybe be able to make a door out of it?
Or what about an obsidian door? I know, been suggested. Just a side thought. Maybe needs twice the Redstone input than normal doors? Like two switches on at the same time. This could be cool because you could make special doors that require two people to stand on two pressure plates. It could be cool for special maps and stuff.
These would be great for panic shelters. I'm making one and I'm using pistons to push blocks inside my obsidian panic room. The blocks are right behind the iron door, and I'm pretty sure they have a blast resistance really close together. Panic rooms and shelters could use some sort of block and/or door that is nearly impenetrable, if not impenetrable.
I think it would be a good idea for there to be obsidian weapons and armor and if Notch could just knock down the time it took to break the stuff it would actually be worth-while to mine it. Also I think it would be a good idea to get something else with a higher resistance to damage. Almost like PlasticCraft where they have explosion proof plastic blocks that can be colorful and also Creeper-proof. Because Obsidian is really ominous looking and it would just be nice to have a lighter less intense color of supe-castle.
okay for all people: To properly install the new Minecraft do this (windows only) go to your search bar type in "run" when in run type in "%appdata%" open the ".minecraft" folder once in it go to "bin" inside of bin is a .jar file called "minecraft" simply drag the new file you just downloaded and click copy and replace when it asks you. The End. p.s. don't type the " when actually doing it.

Not playing Minecraft for a week is like not having sex for a week: You forget where your hands go and end up dead from an enemy NPC's "slime"
