The minecraft world is so alone I think they should add some NPCs, like Merchants and stuff they would be relly hard to find they would generally spawn at the surface but with a little house which will protect they and this just came to my mind I don't know maybe add a Genie to the game, when you find his lamp you can wish any item you want.

I like the genie idea but you shouldnt be able to wish for say 1 million diamond blocks it should be you open it up take something out and it dissapears
thats a fancy world ya got there on screenshot 8 i beleive and thats a cool way of doing it and Ill definatly use it for my first floor of my structures and it worlds well as long as you have free blocks below you thats the only problem i see with it... if that makes sense im a little out of it right now
lol NOW this is what id do instead what if you modded in the game to allow travel to other worlds like you can to the nether? and instead of portals you walk onto a spaceship the screen changes to the loading screen like on the nether but instead of the nether your on another world idk its an idea cause space kinda seems outta the question and even my idea has problems and I think other planets would be cool but that would be alot of modding and work and time and whos going to do that you know what i'm saying?
Again not a modder, not good with mods, So this is fine im done with this mod idea might think of a different possible one. I'm a 'decent' modder....I looked into something similar, of programming space and planets, but it'd be nearly impossible without completely rewriting the way Minecraft works.
this is pretty much why I thought it impractical im srry i didnt mean to be harsh its a good idea just A) whos going to do that your going to have a tough **** time finding someone and B)and you said space would be like being in water ok but planets are round not flat like your minecraft world so seperate planets are going to need gravity and if you my (personal opinion->) WANT to avoid the problem of a cartooney feel like I did from spore than the planets will need to be fairly large
the only problem with having customizable spaceships is crafting it and also coding in the makings for a personalized space ship idk i like staying on the planet so this idea doesnt appeal to me a whole lot srry :| and then the fact that randomly generating entire planets takes gravity and coding in the gravity would be tough... plus the planets would need to be fairly large its just not that practical srry if I were to make a spaceship it would be one that is docked on the original world
so irony here lol a coupla months ago I pointed out to a close friend i said "dude try minecraft its really cool" he replies "dan your a dumbass play cod like us cool ppl get off the pc" I replied "your an xbox fanboy whos never going to get laid" he shuts up but 2 days ago I get a call from him saying "DAN DAN TRY MINECRAFT HOLY GOD ITS AMAZING!!!!" i replied "dude omfg I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT GAME MONTHS AGO YOU HIPOCRYTICAL DOUCHEBAG!" he hangs up lol so its because they play cod and there duchebags is why they hate the game I swear most ppl on console are dicks thats why I dont own one and i never will the only xbox games I play are oblivion fallout 3 and rainbow six vegas 2 and all of those I play on a pc!!! although Im glad that consoles exist it provides a place for douchebags to vent and leave the decent people alone lord have mercy on those that play console and arent jerks

I need someone to host the server I have no bandwidth but the whole server is a work in progress that I would need help with as well i guess I should have specified that alot of the help I need is in coding I dont exactly have a ton of time top spend on these forums so I didnt want to post everything if you know how to set up a server thats a part of what I want help with but I dont wanna type all o that out here

obviously pliers duh lol why would shears be on a workbench id put those in my tool shed and my pliers on my workbench this makes me think notch should add more decorative blocks ie. tool shelves n such

I honestly dont know what to think about this... well I for one hope that the CoD/halo assholes all think this game sux that way they dont tarnish its good name but at the same time for those of us that play both pc and console (tc's rainbow six 2 FORTHEWIN) it could be kinda fun I plan on buying it oh and for the ppl that say pc sucks *cough* imoff1c3 *cough* if consoles are better than pc lets review the fact that pc has been around waaayyyyy longer than your console thats prolly going to be outdated in a couple of years but me on a pc if something goes outdated I can just fix that by replacing a part thus keeping my pc longer than you keep your xbox
