Yes, I know about this mod, but I'm not talking about a controller. I'm talking about one of these guys.

It would pair up well with Flan's mod or other such mods. It's already done in other space/flight games such as Star Citizen and Microsoft Flight, so why not do it for Minecraft flight mods?

    What do you think?

posted a message on WarpDrive: custom ships, laser cannons and modular force fields!

I got this error when starting Minecraft with Warp Drive and several other mods installed.

    Crash report: http://pastebin.com/2B0n3L3H

    Log file: http://pastebin.com/SFzrC24A

The reason I have so many mods is that I'm building a private mod pack.

Please excuse me for the lack of research I've done myself on this crash. I just went through several hours of debugging this pack on 1.6.4, and I'm quite fed up with errors right now. Besides, looking at the type of error (passing a completely wrong object to a method) I don't think I will be able to fix it.

Hey Kihira, I'm just wondering. You still working on this mod at all? Seems rather inactive.

I'm pretty sure Kihira wants to update it, but Forge is taking long to update. To be honest actually, I see hardly any devlogs from Forge. I think they're slacking off to be very honest.

posted a message on Clearing assets folder - safe?

I'm running into a storage problem. While looking for useless stuff, I saw that the .minecraft/assets/objects folder had amassed 126 MB of hashed stuff. I'm pretty sure a lot of that stuff comes from mods I once had, but I can't possibly be bothered to figure out what each file is and what mod it belongs to.

Is it safe to just remove all of the stuff in the objects folder? I'm currently not modded except for Optifine, which I'm pretty sure should not add any assets.

Huh, that's weird... I use smart moving with the tails mod, and it works fine for me, tails show up and everything. Maybe its because I use the alex skin model?

I still don't really know what exactly the difference is. If it's just that the arms are unique for Alex, then I am using Steve's model. I'm going to try changing my skin to an Alex-modeled one.

Edit: Man, it's 2016. How hard does it have to be to find a quality fox skin that's

    - Alex modeled,

    - Not shitty,

    - Actually a fox rather than being named "fox" and being something totally different.

Anyway, I tried it with a 3-pixel arm skin and it worked fine using SM and Tails enabled. I'll add that to my bug report.

Same thing here. I don't know if you already know about this, but Smart Moving does the same thing as Naruto apparently does. I have a bug report over there.

posted a message on Smart Moving

    Bug report:

Summary: Smart Moving breaks the functionality of the Tails mod by KitsuneKihira, if the rendered player is using a 4-pixel arm skin (Steve model). If the player is using a 3-pixel arm skin (Alex model), it works fine. No crashes or other effects are caused; tails, wings and ears do not appear. The Tails Editor button is still present and functional, although you cannot see your tails/wings/ears there either.

Details: NOT having Smart Render with the mods listed below causes a crash. Crash log in that case is included.
I have done some research into this bug:
All mods enabled: successful start, tails functionality broken (log below)
Without smart render: crash on start (log below) (edit: having smart render AND foxlib and tails disabled causes the same crash, so this bug is not linked to SR - HOWEVER, since SR is supposed to be optional, this is a bug on its own.)
Without tails mod and foxlib: successful start
Without smart render and smart moving: successful start, tails working (playerapi ruled out)

    Minecraft: Client, 1.8 (that's not 1.8.x, but 1.8)

Player API: Core, 1.4. (also not 1.8.x, but 1.8)

Mods installed in order of installation: Optifine HD U H2, FoxLib 0.8.1, Tails 1.5.0, PlayerAPI Core 1.4, Smart Moving 16.2, and Smart Render 2.1.

Game mode: All modes, on both multiplayer and singleplayer.

    Smart moving mode: Any

I did not modify any options files.

Since I had no space for two long ass logs within the character limit, I have uploaded them to my website.

    • Log when starting with all mods. I have already been as kind to search this for "tails", "smart moving" and "smart render", but nothing really indicated an issue.

    • When starting without Smart Render. speaks of a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/smart/moving/SmartMoving, thrown by Smart Moving (and not Smart Render), during the transition from INITIALIZATION to POSTINITIALIZATION. (edit: this is not linked to Tails being present, this is a bug on its own discovered while researching Tails/SM incompatibility.)

    I hope this helps.

Also, y'all can take an example from this bug report... the ones I've seen while going through this thread for existing bug reports about this bug were painfully poorly formatted. It makes it annoying to read them. At least put your logs in spoiler tags!

Edit: I did some more research, and having Smart Render disabled as well as Foxlib and Tails also causes the same crash as having just Smart Render off, so this bug is not linked to SR - HOWEVER, since SR is supposed to be optional, this is a bug on its own.

Edit 2: As cjv1128 pointed out, he is using an Alex-modeled skin and it works fine for him. I can replicate this, but sadly my favorite skin is in 4 pixels, and for some dumb reason, there are no quality skins out there that have 3-pixel arms.

No, you can't. Feather falling won't combine with a sword.

Can't it be a door texture only as if locked? Not going to open but only to cause output signal?

I don't see how that would be useful, the purpose of trapped doors would be essentially the same as trapped chests - like a honeypot. Not opening it but only causing a redstone signal would, from my view, be really useless. Like an iron door mixed with what I got here.

For other blocks, we'd just use the block update trick.

BUDs are quite big, IMO, and when you are dealing with little space to hide things in, very impractical to use.
