I've recreated most of the blocks from this mod in vanilla minecraft as command blocks and gave them textures and models with optifine custom items feature.
The snow layers are actual snow layers but with different metadata. (They have invalid model without texturepack)
There are also some other blocks that are not preset in this mod, such as mushroom stems, frosted ice, piston extension and end gateway.
Would be a good idea to add them to your mod as well.
