I miss Alpha and indev/infdev, for sure. But the newer versions have some nice features that I haven't fully explored, too.

Agreed. In fact, I actually think the scenery now is better than it was.
That said, I do regret deleting some of my old maps. It would have been good to have them now.

you do know that there are some binary diff patches that will take the current version of mc and patch it to be an old version.

posted a message on skyrim maps
i would like to extract the local map files out of skyrim, however i can not seem to get the textures out of the .bsa file. it seems to be broken or something. so if somebody can show me a tool that hooks on the game and can export texture that way please post, i used to have such a program, but i can no longer find it by searching, because i probably dont know that name of it lol.

but what i hope to do is make one huge map and inside Photoshop make layers and such with locations that i can be fliped on and off.

if you help me ill throw a bitcoin your way if you know what that is.

posted a message on Wheat-breeding problem.
i too thought it was broke. but heres how it works

have the wheat in your hand
show it to the animal, like put it in its face, you do not need to actually use it
now they will follow you, i don't know how long, but as long as you do not change the item they will continue to follow
to make them stop following you, simply have a different item in your hand

Oh god, not a RON PAUL fan.

im not a ron paul fan person, but i would very much like to have non fiat USD.

also, i think using the furnace make 1 ingot into 9 coins would be good.

so smelt 9, (id prefer 8) nuggets into 1 ingot, 8 ingots into 1 block. then you can trade the coins, and store them as ingots or blocks if you have a lot. the reason i think it should use a furnace, is to make it cost resources to convert.

posted a message on 1.9 then 1.10 then what?
there is a buttload of stuff that can still be added, ill make a list :biggrin.gif:

    breeding
    persistent mobs
    wall redstone
more colors of redstone to wire up side by side stuff
    logic gates
    modding api
    master server list
    more game modes
    more mobs
    more blocks
optimize network code way better. even on my own local server, i simply cant play the latency is so high.
    support for higher resolution textures
support for our own models and animations
fix mine carts to be like trains in addition to the powered rails
    optimizations in general
option to pregenerate a world instead of making it as you go along.
option for the original world types and and such, basically copy+paste them in for the people that want them. make the exact same maps as before, because in some ways they are better.
re add the time of day thing in creative, i liked it, and also add a toggle weather button
built in VOIP, so i can grief servers with mic spam.
    painting, like the mod
    spray
scripting engine, so we can make cools maps that are not possible with just redstone

    and other cool stuffs

do big/giant mushrooms grow in the exact same shape every time? if so you could have a house built in less than a minute provided you had a mushroom and bone meal bed and maybe a furnace.

you are an idiot, this has nothing to do with IE FF or the chrome, he was asking if it was possible to run minecraft in a browser, although i dont know if you will understand that because you failed to read and comprehend the first post anyway.
