Poorly shielded microwave ovens and some cordless landline phones can cause this.
Does it happen at any specific times? A neighbor or someone in your house using the microwave/phone might cause it.
No, it goes on all day. My brother runs on a wired connection and he does fine. Funny thing is, video loading and internet browsing seems fine, but when I play other games, I get serious lag. Not framerate, but internet wise. For example, when I play minecraft, servers barely respond to me and it takes about 10 seconds for me to open a chest. Every once in a while, minecraft runs well for about 15 minutes before going laggy again. Other games like awesomenauts, I lose connection to the host every game I play.Speedtest.net results

Jan 3, 2013I am on a desktop with a wireless adapter. My internet was fine a week ago, but I have been getting really high ping lately and am usually lagging out or getting kicked for high ping.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
Jan 3, 2013My internet has been very slow lately when it came to gaming. I did some googling and many people said turning off WMM has been helpful to their internet speeds, so I decided to do the same. However, I cannot find WMM on my verizon fios router. If anybody could help me find it by telling me directions, it would be much appreciated.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology

Do you like pie? Of course

Longevity Borderlands 2 wins its RPG with co-op
Borderlands 2 will sell more copies.
But other then you can't compare them because they are two separate genres entirely one of the two is an exclusive title.
Halo 4 is surpassing Borderlands 2 in sales by 200,000 and the game isn't even out yet.

Out of curiosity, does anyone here have any particularly awesome Minecraft builds that they feel are better than anything FortressCraft can do?
I have a challenge for anyone who truly believes that. :-)
Hi there, I bought FC looking for a game similar to Minecraft for a console. Of course, it's a decent game and it quite fun but I believe the way you're handling this in an immature way. Please do not take this as an insult but only as criticism. The facts you are pointing out are not very valid. Of course FC has better building features than Minecraft, Minecraft uses a block system each block taking up a 16x16 space, making it impossible to have small details. While Minecraft went for the survival-style and build-your-shelter charm, FC was focused on building. I don't think it's right to say FortressCraft is better for building. While this is completely true, Minecraft was not so focused on small details and such. Also, while you may have had a fallback onto Minecraft, Minecraft started out as an indie alpha game adding new features as it went along, not changing the past features much. What I'm saying is is that it's not right to compare the building aspects of both games. Minecraft is survival, build your house, make it fancy if you wish, while FC is build a fancy house. See where I'm going here? It's like saying Battlefield is more realistic than the Halo series, you jump so high with a armor suit that weighs a ton. Halo is not going for the "realism" factor but more of a fun factor. Now please DO NOT take this as an insult I played FC and it is a fairly decent game, just understand where I am coming from. Also, those screenshots do not help your cause at all, comparing computer generated villages and then structures built in a game FOCUSED on building is not right. It's like saying I can build a better house in Sims 3, if I tried to build it in Minecraft, it would suck. Thank you for reading, and please only take this as criticism and not an insult.

The wood is a bit flat, and the logs are also very flat. Try adding some shading.
Any advice on the shading? The wooden planks never seem to work out for me.
Quote from Deonyi
The planks are very flat and there is a noticeable tiling error with grass and stone and cobblestone.
I'm having trouble finding the tiling error, and what exactly is a tiling error? Also, the grass is only a placeholder, I'm aware it's quite ugly.
Quote from Balduran
Well, it's a start.
-Move away from default colors. Seriously, use your own palette
-The dark spots on the birch shouldn't be black. Use a dark shade instead
-The stone looks kinda flat
-The ores need embedding, and some of them need better shape definition (Redstone, iron, diamond, coal)
You do have potential, so keep going
I'm planning on redoing those ores, thanks for the advice! Also, what dark shade should I use then? Brown?
